Small-flowered alumroot is a herbaceous perennial native to northwestern North America that grows 1-2 feet tall and wide. It has rounded to maple-shaped leaves with conspicuous red veins that make it primarily grown for its foliage. Small white or pink flowers bloom above the foliage from April to June. It is a good ground cover plant that prefers part to full shade and well-draining soil, and can be propagated from seed or divisions in the spring.
