HelpMeSee is a non-profit organization with a mission to eliminate cataract blindness globally within 20 years through sustainable and affordable cataract surgery services. They aim to do this by training 30,000 cataract specialists, especially women, to address the severe shortage of surgeons. HelpMeSee delivers pre-sterilized single-use surgical kits for $35 or less and uses a community-based model of screening, registration, surgery, and follow-up to provide high-quality cataract surgeries at scale across developing nations. To date, they have saved the sight of over 175,000 people through 192 surgical partners across 7 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
