2. Introduction
Diabetes is a huge health concern for our families and the population.
It is extremely important to address this issue and develop strategies to help
people and their families dealing with this disease.
It is also just as important to educate and look for prevention of diabetes to
limit new cases
Everyone needs to be involved on local, state, and federal levels
Patient Education and awareness along with continually learning and gathering
data to help best inform us on how to battle this disease
3. PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF
DIABETES IN POPULATIONS
The prevalence of comorbidities such as obesity and
hypertension in the patients with diabetes.
The Total health expenditures and resources used in the
treatment of the patient population struggling with diabetes.
It is important for consumers to understand the burden of
costs with relation to treatment.

10. CONCLUSION
Diabetes is a wide spread health issue that faces many individuals in
larger populations and impacts their families and daily lives
With education, preventative care, development of healthy life styles,
and early detection this disease will have a smaller impact on the
health and wealth of our communities
With the use of data collection we can continue to learn about and
monitor this disease in our population
Having everyone involved such as the patients, families, community
healthcare professionals in addition to healthcare agencies on local,
state, and federal levels will help control and conquer this disease
