This document proposes a project to connect rural health facilities to central city hospitals using long range Wi-Fi networks. This network would transmit test reports, prescriptions, scans, and allow for live doctor consultations. The concept involves operating "HealBliss centers" within 4km of several hospitals that would administer the network. The technology aspect would use high-powered transceivers and operate at 2.4-2.5GHz to set up long range Wi-Fi connecting each rural hospital to specialists in the HealBliss centers.

2. P ROJECT O VERVIEW
 There is a serious lack of health facilities in rural areas and
a lot of cases that can be handled there are referred to the
far away city hospitals
 The project aims at connecting rural health facilities to the
central hospitals in cities using long range wi-fi networks
 This network can be used to transmit various test reports,
prescriptions, scans and also in live consultation for
patients

3. O PPORTUNITY
 X% of the total population lives in rural areas whereas
only y% doctors cater to them
 A recent survey done in Maharashtra government-run
and municipal schools revealed that 49 per cent primary
students could hardly read or even do basic arithmetic
 With wireless having grown exponentially over the last
few years, we wish to integrate it with the present
education system to improve upon the quality

 We divide our task in 2 parts catering to
different needs of our scheme:

 Model-based
 Our model is based on operating through a “HealBliss
center” that covers a radius of 4kms
 This center will operate in a hospital with the most
number of available doctors and good health facilities
 Administration of this center will be catered to by an
EduBliss volunteer with the help of school staff
 A single center will cover 30-40 hospitals in the target
area
 Live consultation and transfer of prescriptions, scans and
reports will take place via video based communication

8. C ONCEPT
 Technology-based
 HealBliss concentrates on using the current and the
next generation technology for building a network
amongst the hospitals
 The transceivers located at the centers will be
powerful enough to cover 3-4 km in radius
 We will be operating at 2.4-2.5 GHz frequency for
setting up long range wi-fi networks
 Each hospital will be provided with a receiver and a
setup to interact with the doctors and other staff of
the HealBliss center
