2. Introduction
SURVEY DESIGN
It’s a simply a ‘’survey’’ instruments, such as questionnaire or
interview.
SURVEY RESEARCH
Procedure in quantitative research in which investigators
administer a survey to a sample or to the entire population of
people to describe the attitudes, opinions , behavior, or
characteristics of the populations.
Collecting quantitative data and numbered using questionaries or
interviews. And statistically analyze the data to describe trends
about responses to questions and to test research questions or
hypothesis.

4. Cohort Studies- longitudinal survey
design in which the researcher identifies a
subpopulation based on some specific
characteristics and then studies that
subpopulation over time.
Panel Studies- longitudinal type of survey
design in which the researcher examines
the same people over time

Trend Studies – are longitudinal survey designs that
involve identifying a population and examining changes
within that population overtime.
TYPES OF LONGITUDINAL SURVEY
5. STEPS IN CONDUCTING
SURVEY RESEARCH
1. Decide if a Survey is the Best Design to Use
2. Identify the Research Questions or Hypotheses
3. Identify the Population, The Sampling Frame, and the
Sample
4.Determine the Survey Design and Data Collection
Procedure
5 Develop or Locate an Instrument
6 Administer the Instrument
7. Analyze the Data to Address the Research Questions or
Hypothesis
8 .Write the Report
9. Evaluate Survey Research

Correlational design in which the researcher is interested in
the extent to which two variables (or more) co-vary, that is
where changes in one variable are reflected in changes in the
other. Its consist of a simple association between two variable
or more than two variables.

PREDICTION DESIGN
Identify variables that will predict an outcome or criterion.
