This webinar discusses the importance of goal setting for people of all ages. It is presented by Dr. N Sekar, an academician and trainer. Some signs that someone may be suffering from "goalless syndrome" are listed, such as oversleeping, drinking too much, and feeling bored. Various types of goals are then outlined, including career, financial, personal development, spiritual, educational, relationship, physical and health, and goals categorized by time (lifetime, long-term, short-term, stepping stone). The SMART framework for setting attainable goals is also explained. The webinar emphasizes that goal setting requires planning actions to achieve desired results and that making choices can change one's life.

The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.

22. 1. Lifetime Goals
Lifetime goals are the goals that will take
anywhere from a year to an entire lifetime
to achieve.
The best way to figure out your life goals is
to picture a future version of yourself, you
would like to become.
Ex: I want to become CEO of a Company
I want to settle down in Canada
23. 2. Long-Term Goals
A long-term goal often takes years to
achieve. You won’t complete this type of goal this
week, or even this year. Instead, a long-term goal
requires you to plan the specific habits and actions
to systematically work your way to this important
milestone.
Example: I want to retire by 40.
I will educate my kids at IIT or IIM
I want to build a 3 BHK,own an Audi car by 2025
24. 3. Short Term Goals
Short term goals may be a month, six months or a
year. These are the stepping stone goals with the
express purpose of reaching long term or lifetime
goals.
These goals can further be broken down into daily
goals and weekly goals.
Examples: Stop using credit cards from Jan 2021
Start jogging daily and loose 5 kgs in a year
Enroll for driving classes to learn car driving
25.
26. 4. Stepping Stone Goals
These are transactional goals. Think of these as
action steps that allow you to reach bigger goals.
They are the bricks that build the short term goals
the build you long-term and lifetime goals.
Examples: Get up at 5.30 am and go for walking
Cut TV time and learn driving in week ends
Enroll for online course and spend an hour daily
27.
28.

30.
31.
32.
33. Goal setting is the
process of deciding what
you want to accomplish
and devising a plan to
achieve the result you
desire.
What is goal setting
34. For many people, it's the
second part of the goal setting
definition that's problematic.
They know what they want to
do but have trouble creating a
plan to get there.
Goals without action plans are
just words.
35.
36.
37.
38.
39. There are three types of people
Ones that make things happen
Those that let it happen
And the ones that don’t know what
happened.
What one are you?
40. Setting
SMART Goals
If goals aren’t reachable, they aren’t
worth making. All you have to do is
to set realistic goals follow the
SMART goals guidelines.
41. SPECIFIC
• What details do you want
to accomplish?
• “I want to do better in
Research Methodology
paper”
• “I want to become a
member of a professional
body within this week”
42. MEASURABLE
All goals should have a way
to evaluate whether or not
they were accomplished.
“I want to reduce my time
wastage.”
“I want to reduce my time
wastage by 1 hour.”
43. ATTAINABLE
• Goals must be something
you are capable of
reaching.
Which one would be a better
goal for yourself?
“I will help my family to
reduce the debt burden”
44. RELEVANT
• Make goals that are important to
you and your lifestyle.
• Which goal is better for a
student?
• “My goal is to see that my father
buys a bigger car”
• “My goal is to find a good job and
help my father in running the
family”
45. TIME - BOUND
• Make sure that you have a
time set as a “dead line” so
your goal is not unending.
• “My goal is to be able to buy a
good two wheeler on my
own.”
• My goal is to buy a two
wheeler on my own by 2018’.
47. ONE.
One tree can start a forest,
One smile can begin a friendship,
One hand can lift a soul,
One word can frame the goal,
One candle can wipe out darkness,
One laugh can conquer gloom,
One hope can raise our spirits,
And...one choice can change your life. One
Think about that. One choice, just one, can change your life
forever. Simply put, your life today is what your choices have made
it, but with new choices, you can change directions this very
moment..
Spread Smiles and Win Friends
