This document discusses blacklight lamps and their use for insect trapping. Blacklight lamps emit UV-A radiation that attracts flying insects. Younger insects are especially sensitive to UV-A light and will be drawn to blacklight lamps. Insect traps using blacklight lamps work best on newly emerged insects. The lamps should be used at dusk and dawn to capture insects as they hatch and before their UV sensitivity fades. This helps reduce insect populations and prevent further breeding.
This document provides information about blacklight lamps manufactured by Havells. It discusses how blacklight lamps attract insects using UV-A radiation and their applications in insect trapping and other industries like nail curing. The document describes Havells' standard BL350 blacklight lamp range and its newer BL368 range, which has a narrower spectral peak at 368nm, concentrates energy better, and maintains higher output over time. Technical specifications are provided for various linear, circline, and compact blacklight lamp models.

The document describes the development of a novel contamination device to target multiple life stages of the Aedes aegypti mosquito that transmits dengue. The device consists of a black 3-liter water-filled container with a ring-shaped floater supporting vertically placed gauze dusted with control agents. Tests found the gauze effectively contaminated over 90% of ovipositing mosquitoes with the fungal agent Beauveria bassiana and larvicide pyriproxyfen. Pyriproxyfen disseminated by mosquitoes caused over 90% larval mortality in nearby breeding sites and 100% mortality in the trap. The combination of agents has potential for an effective new tool in dengue control.
This document discusses cell culture contamination. It begins by introducing contamination as a universal problem for cell culture laboratories. It then describes the major types of contaminants as chemical and biological. Chemical contaminants can come from media, sera, water, storage vessels and other sources. Biological contaminants include microbes like bacteria and fungi that are usually visible, as well as harder to detect contaminants like viruses, protozoa and mycoplasmas. The document emphasizes that while contamination cannot be eliminated, it can be managed to reduce its frequency and negative impacts through careful control methods.

The document discusses a new mosquito larvicide called MOUSTIcide developed by Malaysian company EntoGeneX Industries. MOUSTIcide uses a peptide from yeast called TMOF that kills mosquito larvae when ingested. Field tests show MOUSTIcide can control mosquito populations for up to 4 weeks and help reduce dengue outbreaks. EntoGeneX also produces Moustique, a natural insect repellent made from wild tomatoes that protects against mosquito bites for up to 8 hours. Both products are considered safer alternatives to conventional insecticides and repellents.
Downy mildew is a destructive fungal disease of cucurbits that is spread by wind and rain. It thrives in cool, humid conditions and can cause leaf death and stunted plant growth. To control downy mildew, farmers can use resistant cucurbit varieties, improve soil health and airflow, and apply organic fungicides like copper, neem oil, biofungicides, hydrogen peroxide, or bicarbonate products. Proper application and monitoring soil copper levels is important when using copper fungicides regularly.
Downy mildew is a destructive fungal disease that affects cucurbit crops like cucumbers and cantaloupe. It is spread by wind and rain and thrives under cool, humid conditions. Symptoms include pale green or yellow leaf spots that are initially on the top of leaves but later show a grayish fungal growth on the bottom. The disease can kill entire plants if left uncontrolled. Management strategies include using resistant varieties, improving soil health and air circulation, applying organic fungicides like copper, neem oil, or biofungicides, and monitoring forecasts to time applications.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

spring – to capture the UV-sensitive creatures as soon
as they hatch. Lamps should be energized at dusk and
switched off at dawn, destroying the young population to
prevent further breeding. When summer then draws, the
numbers of adults will have been dramatically reduced.
However the traps must be left operational to attract long-
range insects flying in from other areas which have not been
disinfected.

5. Blacklight BL368 - Linear & Circline Blacklight BL368 - Linear & Circline
Recent improvements in Phosphor technology have led BL368 vs. BL350
G5 G13
to a new generation of UV-A lamp with much improved
insect attraction efficiency. This range, called BL368, is a
BL350 BL368
premium high performance range.
Two major improvements:
G10q
1. The energy distribution of the BL368 lamp is a much
narrower band concentrated around the spectral peak at
368nm. This is widely accepted as the most important
frequency for the attraction of flying insects. The radiation
at 368nm is twice as powerful as from BL350 tubes, and
because of this the lamp attracts many more insects. d
2. Furthermore, the depreciation of UV-A output over time B D
is significantly reduced. After 5000 hours of operation, the
lamp maintains 80% of its original 100% output. The result A
is that it performs longer and better throughout the season.

Why use Toughcoat™ lamps?
For many companies, especially those operating in the
food area (also restaurants), the risk of glass and mercury
contamination is real. Toughcoat lamps pay dividends
in avoiding injury, contamination and loss of production
time in case a lamp should be broken. Health and safety
regulations carry heavy penalties for avoidable injury of
employees, making these lamps an especially sound
investment. To meet the FDA guidelines.
