Why are they Endangered?
 The main threat facing the penguin is the increasing
frequency of El Nino- Southern Oscillation (ENSO)
events. Which reduces the strength of the cool
current this species needs to survive. This also causes
changes in its prey. In 1982 – 1983 ENSO caused a
horrible loss of penguins. A lot of penguins also died
of starvation.
