3. How is a bird different from a mammal? Mammals don’t have beaks. Mammals have fur, not feathers. Mammals young are born alive.

5. Words we need to know.. Adaptation: A body part, body covering, or behavior that helps an animal survive in its environment. Behavior: The actions of an animal. Camouflage: The color or shape in an animal’s body covering that helps it blend into its environment.
