TOPIC:- HARRY POTTER AND
THE GOBLET OF FIRE
“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” is
a fantasy book written by British author J.
K. Rowling and the fourth novel in
the Harry Potter series. It follows Harry
Potter, a wizard in his fourth year at
“Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and
Wizardry” and the mystery surrounding the
entry of Harry's name into the Triwizard
Tournament, in which he is forced to
compete.
MAJOR CHARACTERS
HARRY POTTER
The hero and protagonist, Harry Potter is
a twelve-years-old boy with messy hair
and glasses who became famous within
the wizard community by surviving the
curse of a powerful wizard. Harry
frequently finds himself entangled in
dangerous adventures but he always
lives to tell the tale. Harry's character
represents good intentions, innocence,
and the fantasies of childhood.
RON WEASLEY
Ron is a tall, red-haired boy and from a
respected but poor family, “The Weasleys”.
Ron is one of Harry's two best friends at
Hogwarts. He is loyal to Harry and belligerent
to their enemy, Malfoy. Ron uses experience
and a process of trial-and-error to solve most
of the mysteries. Ron feels valued by Harry
and doesn't seem to mind that Harry gets
more attention than he does on a regular
basis, although he sometimes feels envious.
HERMIONE GRANGER
Hermione Granger is the second best friend
of Harry Potter. She is a quintessential brain,
in the same way that while Harry represents
courage and Ron represents loyalty.
Hermione was born to a Muggle family, but
she is the top student in her class. She is
clever and well-read. Besides of Harry's
sometimes questionable behavior, she always
stands by them. Hermione is good- natured
and adventurous, and always helpful and
brilliant. In this story especially, she throws her
heart into fighting for causes, and she proves to
be exceptionally loyal to Harry.
ALBUS DUMBLEDORE
Dumbledore the headmaster of
Hogwarts. He is a wise, powerful, elderly
man with a long silver beard, and he is
one of the most impressive characters
Harry has ever met. He has a calm,
secretive demeanor and is extremely
intuitive, tolerant, and trustworthy, and he
is the only wizard Voldemort has ever
feared. He always stands by Harry’s side
and guides him to understand the
mysteries happening around him.
VOLDEMORT
Once a student named Tom Riddle,
Voldemorte who attended Hogwarts fifty years
before Harry. Voldemort became the most
powerful dark wizard ever. When Harry was a
baby, Voldemort killed Harry's parents and
tried to kill Harry, only to have his curse
backfire and render him powerless. He is an
embodiment of pure evil. Through the help of
Wormtail and a mysterious supporter at
Hogwarts, Voldemort manages to rise again
at the end of this story.
SIRIUS BLACK
Sirius Black is Harry's loyal and loving
godfather, and an unregistered
animagus who can change himself into a
large black dog, Padfoot, at will. He is
widely thought to be responsible for
thirteen deaths that, in reality, Peter
Pettigrew caused, and since his name is
not yet clear, he must remain in hiding.
He fulfills his godfatherly duties in this
book, looking carefully after Harry.

The novel starts with Harry seeing Frank Bryce
being killed by Voldemort in a vision. He awakes
from the pain coming from his scar. The next day the
Weasleys take Harry and Hermione to the Quidditch
World Cup, using a Portkey. There, Harry meets
Cedric Diggory, who attends the game with his
father, Amos. After the match, the Death Eaters,
Voldemort’s followers, attack the site, causing
havoc. The Dark Mark, the mark of Voldemort, gets
fired into the sky, which causes panic since it’s the
first time it has been seen in over thirteen years.
Winky, Barty Crouch elf-house , is blamed for
casting the Mark after he is found holding Harry’s
wand, which was used to cast the Mark.
Quidditch World Cup Arrival of The Death Eaters
The Death Eaters The Death Mark
The trio returns to Hogwarts, where Alastor “Mad-
Eye” Moody will be teaching Defense Against the
Dark Arts. Albus Dumbledore announces that
Hogwarts will host the Triwizard Tournament, only
open to students over the age of seventeen, and the
prize for winning the tournament is the great
triwizard Cup. It is the first time in two hundred years
that the Tournament will be held. Students from
Beauxbatons Academy and Durmstrang Institute,
traveled to Hogwarts and stayed the entire year
during the completion.
The Goblet Of Fire
The Wizard Cup For
Winner
Students who hope to participate must place
their name in the Goblet of Fire. On
Halloween night, the Goblet picks Fleur
Delacour, Viktor Krum and Cedric Diggory,
representing Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and
Hogwarts respectively. The Goblet also gives
a fourth name, Harry Potter, causing
controversy and suspicion since Harry is
underage. Ron refuses to speak to Harry
because he is jealous that Harry is once again
in the spotlight.

Investigation From
Harry Potter
Selected Names The Four Fighters
Hagrid tells Harry that the first task involves
dragons, and Fleur and Viktor knows about it. Harry
tells Cedric of this information. The first task, Harry
has to pass a Hungarian Horntail to retrieve a
golden egg, containing a hint about the next task.
Harry succeeds by summoning his Firebolt
broomstick with the Summoning Spell, and finishes
the task tying for first place with Viktor. Ron
reconciles with Harry after realizing the dangers of
the Tournament. When Harry opens the egg, it
shrieks loudly.
Meanwhile, a reporter called Rita Skeeter is writing
scandalous articles and false rumors in the Daily
Prophet about Hogwarts, Hermione, Harry, Hagrid,
and the Headmistress of Beauxbatons.
Harry Telling Cedric
About Dragon
First Task: Golden
Egg and Dragon
The Yule Ball is approaching and Harry has to
bring a date, he approaches to his crush Cho
Chang, but she informs him that Cedric had
already asked her. Harry eventually asked
Parvati Patil and Ron took her sister Padma.
During the Yule Ball, Ron is shocked and
jealous to see that Hermione is attending the
Ball with Viktor Krum. Cedric tells Harry that
to open the egg, he needs to take it to the
prefects’ bathroom. Harry ignores him due to
his jealousy over Cho Chang.
Hermione And
Viktor
Harry And
Parvati
By the morning of the second task, Harry hasn’t
found a spell to take breath under water, but Dobby
gives him Gillyweed, which gave Harry gills. The
second task took place in the Black Lake and it
involved saving the person each person cares about
the most. Underwater, Harry looks at Ron and
Hermione, unsure which one he is supposed to pick.
Viktor takes Hermione to the surface. He completes
the task finishing in third place by rescuing Ron from
under the lake and saving Gabrielle, Fleur’s sister.
After the judges tallied the votes they awarded him
second place, giving him more points for saving
Gabrielle.
Second Task:
Saving A Precious
Thing
Harry Trying To
save Ron And
Gabrielle
Harry prepares for the final task, a hedge
maze. Inside the maze, Harry is forced to
incapacitate Viktor, who had been bewitched
in order to save Cedric. They both agree to
win the Tournament together by grabbing the
Cup at the same time. When they grab it they
discover that it is a Portkey that transports
them to a graveyard. There, Peter Pettigrew
kills Cedric, uses Harry’s blood, Tom Riddle’s
bone and his own hand to resurrect Lord
Voldemort.
Third Task:
Searching For Cup
in Maze
Harry And Cedric
Finds Themselves
in Graveyard
Voldemort summons his Death Eaters, berating
them for thinking that he was dead. He then says
that he only had one faithful servant at Hogwarts,
who made sure that Harry would make it to the
graveyard, he then challenges Harry to the duel.
During the duel, Harry and Voldemort’s wands
connect due to their identical cores. Voldemort’s
wand releases the most recent spells preformed,
resulting the appearances of the ghost of his victims,
including Harry’s parents. Harry’s parents provided
him a distraction so he could escape back to
Hogwarts using the Portkey, taking Cedric’s body
with him.
Voldemort Grab Harry Cedric’s Death
When he returns, Mad-Eye Moody takes
him to his office where he reveals
himself to be Voldemort’s servant. He
admits to placing Harry’s name in the
Goblet of Fire and helping him through
the tournament ensuring his win. Before
he can kill Harry, Dumbledore, Professor
McGonagall, and Severus Snape
intervene. They learn that Moody is
Barty Crouch, disguised using Polyjuice
Potion.
Harry And Mad-Eye
Moody
Moody Turned to
Barty Crouch
Then it was revealed that Crouch was sentenced to Azkaban
by his father over his allegiance to the Dark Mark, but
smuggled him out as a favor to his dying wife. Crouch, was
the one who stole Harry’s wand and cast the Dark Mark at
the Quidditch World Cup. Eventually, Voldemort got into
contact with him and had him impersonate Moody. He also
admits to killing his father, to prevent him from telling
Dumbledore about Voldemort. The real Alastor Moody is
found inside Crouch’s enchanted trunk. Many people,
including Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic do not
believe Harry and Dumbledore about Voldemort’s return.
Hermione discovers that Rita Skeeter is an unregistered
Animagus, who took the form of a beetle, and blackmails her.
Harry is declared the winner of the Triwizard Tournament and
gives all his winnings to Fred and George, who started their
own joke shop. Harry returns home with the Dursleys.
