She was named Araminta Ross. Her family called her “Minty”.
3. Harriet did not stay a slave. She wanted to have freedom.
She ran away in late 1849. Her owner posted a reward.

from people who ran the Underground Railroad.
5. Harriet had reached freedom, but she was concerned

11. Harriet Tubman died in 1913. She is remembered for her
spirit, courage, and commitment to helping others.
