VOCABULARY
WHEN?
Easter usually comes in the month
of April. It is what is called a 'moveable
feast' because the date of it is fixed
according to the moon. Easter Sunday
has to be the first Sunday following the
full moon, after the Spring equinox
(March 21st) - the Paschal Full Moon .
This means that Easter can fall as
early as March 22nd or as late as
April 25th.
In 2009, Easter Sunday was on April 4th

In 2010, Easter Sunday is on March 28th

the feet of his disciples and

Easter, Christians commemorate the
crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
It is a day of mourning in
Church. That day represents the
death of Jesus on the cross.
Easter Bunny
     Traditions associated with the
festival survive in the Easter Bunny, a
symbol of fertility, and in coloured Easter

to represent the sunlight of the Spring.
