Halloween originated from the Pagan Celtic festival of Samhain, where it was believed the souls of the dead could come back to Earth. Now celebrated on October 31st, Halloween involves traditions like trick-or-treating while wearing costumes, carving jack-o-lanterns, and watching horror movies or attending costume parties. Popular Halloween costumes depict monsters, ghosts, vampires, witches, werewolves, mummies, pirates, and zombies, each with their own supernatural or frightening abilities according to folklore.
