Halley Station was established in 1956 in Antarctica and is owned by the UK. It is located at 75 degrees 34' south latitude and 26 degrees 32' west longitude. The British Antarctic Survey has governed the station since 1962. Halley Station is a large, old, red station that is used to study geology, rocks, and the Earth's atmosphere, with temperatures that rarely rise above 0 degrees.
