Hack the Hood is an initiative aimed at empowering low-income young people through coding and technology by enabling them to build websites for local businesses. This model not only teaches valuable skills but also fosters active community engagement and job opportunities. With a recent investment from Google, the program plans to expand its reach beyond Oakland, targeting other cities like Newark.
