SUPPLY CHAIN AUDIT
Supply Chain Audit is a critical examination of business processes to ascertain
performance and identify potential areas for improvement.
Audit is like a medical examination! Everyone and so every business requires one once
in a while. What you know and can measure …. you can fix and place into perspective.
From the results of the “examination” a prescription is obtained to mitigate against the

SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMIZATION
Supply chain optimization is the application of processes and tools to ensure the
optimal operation of a business unit. This includes the optimal placement of inventory
within the supply chain, minimizing operating costs (including sourcing costs,
transportation costs, and distribution costs). Supply chain optimization addresses the
general supply chain problem of delivering products to customers at the lowest total
cost and highest profit. This includes trading off the costs of inventory, transportation,
distributing and sourcing.
Supply Chain activities across the organization is a critical success factor that could
either facilitate business growth and profitability or be the limiting factor that could
choke and kill the same business unit. It is therefore quite critical to constantly review
and revamp these activities with a view of identifying non value adding, value adding
and ones that needs improvement.
