5. According to established guidelines, the purpose and scope of social
work are both high and comprehensive: it aims to help a person
integrate into society and to transform society itself by removing
barriers that prevent people from doing so, to make full use of the
resources of the community social services. Changes are desired that
aim to improve the quality of life for everyone at an individual and
community level.

priority.
•According to DuBois and Miley (2008) and Segal, Gerdes
and Steiner (2005), these are the basic principles of social
work practice.
