Our film would be well-suited for distribution by New Line Cinema or Universal Pictures due to their experience producing similar conspiracy thriller and action films. New Line Cinema in particular has released prestigious films like Domino and The Butterfly Effect. Universal Pictures founded in 1912 continues to produce thriller hits from the Bourne series to Dawn of the Dead. Additionally, our film could have been funded by sponsorships from companies that provided money in exchange for product placement within the film to help promote their brands.

Our movieSeeing as our media project film is based on a conspiracy thriller, we would have to find a production company who are famous for producing mostly action based thrillers so they will be more likely to be interested in our film.In the end we chose to use New Line Cinema to partner with our production company because they were a very popular and respected company releasing many prestigious films such as; domino, Hostage, The butterfly effect and many more.

3. State of PlayWe looked at the production company that sponsored our original idea film which was State of Play. A very similar storyline to our film and it was the basis of our ideas.

4. Universal PicturesFounded in 1912 by Carl Laemmle, it is one of the oldest American movie studios still in continuous production. Universal Pictures or Universal Studios as it is more popularly known, Have produced many various Thriller hits such as; State of Play, Public Enemies, The Bourne series, Dawn of the Dead and many more so they would be interested in our project as it is quite similar to other films it has produced..

5. What does a distributor do?A movie distributor will be responsible for getting the finished product of a film to the public, be that through theatres or directly to stores or markets. If the Distributor has a contract with the theatres then they can distribute the film to all the theatres for the public to view. And they also give permission for the films to be made into DVD or blue ray disks.

How might our film have been funded?Our film could have been funded by sponsorships, as our production company was fairly new and were looking to make a good name for itself they looked for sponsors to help them get started. We had various companies helping us out with money in exchange for advertisement within our film, for example Porsche would sponsor us so long as we used their new model car in our film so that the general public can get a look at their new car.We would give these company a special thanks in our end credits to show how they helped us.
