This document discusses several authoring tools and resources that can be used to integrate multimedia content and interactive activities into educational materials. It describes tools such as JClic, GIMP, ExeLearning, CmapTools, Ardora, and Educaplay, which allow teachers to create activities like cloze questions, matching, crosswords, and more. It also discusses Moodle, a free virtual learning environment and course management system designed to help educators create online learning communities and allow students to build knowledge in a student-centered way.

2. Set of six tools to develop interactive activities that can be performed from
Web pages, such as cloze questions , matching questions or relationship ,
multiple choice questions , crossword Creation , Sort sentences .
Since 2009 is a free program for teachers, developed by the team of the
University of Victoria Call Laboratory Research and Development.
3. Set of applications used to perform different types of educational activities :
puzzles, associations, text exercises , crosswords . Since 1992 it has been
used by educators from various countries as a tool for creating educational
activities for their students.
JClic is developed in Java platform is an open source project and works in
different environments and operating systems.
4. GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program . Free
distribution program for photo retouching tasks , image composition and
image authoring . It can be used for simple drawings, touches of good
quality and image format converter.
GIMP is expandable and extensible. It is designed to be augmented with
plug- ins and extensions. It has an advanced scripting interface allows
everything from simple which tasks to complex image processing
procedures.
5. In educational materials can include multimedia content (images , audio ,
video , animations , flash .. ) as well as interactive activities.
ExeLearning allows us , once created our educational content, export it as
a web page or content package SCORM or IMS , ready to use on different
platforms such as Moodle online learning . multiplatform application , ie , is
available for different operating systems such as Windows, Linux and Mac.
6. Multiplatform tool that lets you build and transmit information in the form of
Concept Mapping , developed by the Institute for Human and Machina
Cognition ( IHMC ) , University of West Florida. CmapTools is useful to
view the previous ideas before beginning a unit, for summaries , display
group work, to assess reading comprehension.
Manages a simple intuitive interface court, which makes it usable by
students from primary education. The work obtained can be translated as
an image or publish on the Internet.
7. Ardora is an application that allows teachers to create their own activities,
in HTML format. It offers the possibility to create more than 45 different
types of activities , crosswords, letter, complete , graphic panels , clocks ...
as well as more than 10 kinds of multimedia page: galleries, panoramic or
image zooms, mp3 players or flv ...
After entering the elements of the activity , using simple forms, ardora
create the website and the necessary files, only a browser is necessary to
view the contents .
8. Educaplay is a platform for creating interactive multimedia activities. There
are ten types of activities that are made online: Crossword Puzzle , Riddle
, Complete , Dialogue, Dictation , letters Order , Order words , Relate ,
Wordsearch and test. To illustrate the questions audio, text and photos is
allowed. These activities have their individual URL can also be embedded
in blogs and websites, thanks to embedded code .
9. It is a Virtual Learning Environment, course management system , free
distribution , which helps educators create online learning communities .
Also called LMS (Learning Management System) , was created by Martin
Dougiamas . He based his design on the ideas of constructivism in
pedagogy , trying to create a student-centered environment that allows you
to build knowledge -based skills and knowledge , rather than simply
publish and transmit the information considered that students should know.
