The Relationship Between
Self-Confidence and
Performance During
Demonstration Tasks
Among TVL-HE Learners of
Apalit High School
SHORT BACKGROUND
OF THE STUDY
• TVL-HE students are often required to perform
demonstration tasks such as cooking, baking, or
housekeeping. These tasks demand not only
technical skills but also confidence in execution.
However, some learners struggle to perform well,
which may be due to low self-confidence. This study
explores how self-confidence affects their
performance during practical demonstrations.
REVIEW OF RELATED
LITERATURE (RRL)
• Moneva and Tribunalo (2020) stated that self-
confidence is the ability and strength to carry
out the necessary activities. Students need to
be confident in themselves in order to do the
assigned activities.
OBJECTIVES
• To determine the relationship between
self-confidence and the performance of
TVL-HE learners during demonstration
tasks at Apalit High School.
Research Gap
While Moneva and Tribunalo (2020) explored the
connection between self-confidence and student
performance in general academic settings, limited
studies have focused on its impact during hands-on
demonstration tasks. This gap is especially evident
among TVL-HE learners. To address this, the present
study examines how self-confidence relates to
practical performance among students at Apalit High
School.
Participants of
The Study
• The participants of
the study are the TVL-
HE Students of Apalit
High School
Significance of The
Study
• Students – to understand how confidence
affects their performance
• Teachers – to support students better in
demo tasks
• Future researchers – as a reference for
similar studies
Research
design
Descriptive &
Correlational
This study uses a
descriptive- correlational
research design to measure
the level of self-confidence
and performance of TVL-HE
learners and to determine
the relationship between
the two variables.
