7. Voltage output from sensors sent as inputs into Arduino.
Based on input values,Arduino outputs specific voltages to turn ON/OFF devices.
System Overview

• ATmega328P
• I/O Ports
Arduino
• Light-bulb
• Relay
• LCD
Devices
• DHT11 Sensor
• LDR Sensor
• Soil Moisture Sensor
Sensors
8. LDR Sensor
• Sense the light and set an optimum light for the plants.
• An artificial light will be switched ON automatically by the light sensor with the help of relay,if there
is insufficient light for plants.
• If light intensity < 100 lux, then trigger bulb (i.e low light).
System Overview Cont.

9. DHT11 Sensor
• Used to measure both temperature and humidity.
• If temperature >26 0C and humidity >65% then trigger fan (i.e high temp and humidity)
System Overview Cont.

10. Soil Moisture Sensor
• Check the water presents on the soil.
• If moisturevalue > 500%, then trigger pump to increase the water level (i.e less water).

12. The proposed system will reduces the power consumption, maintenance and
complexity.
This project can be used in agricultural filed, in nursery and in botanical garden.
