The platform aims to empower communities and give them the resources to successfully address problems in their own areas. It highlights examples like an activist in Jharkhand who used GPx to challenge illegal toxic waste dumping, and a group in Bangalore that stalled an unnecessary parking lot development in a public park, gathering over 2,000 signatures in just two weeks. Greenpeace India hopes the platform will help more local leaders create awareness and positive change on important issues in their communities.

Protecting the environment should be as important as the protection of your own life. Primarily, we all should be aware of the term environment. All living things survive within their own favorable zones of the environment thus the environment is not something that can be neglected easily without caring for it. It is very important for us to protect our environment, so that we can continue to live on this planet in a healthy and safe atmosphere. It is essential for us to segregate waste so that we can protect everybodys health. We must not only focus on caring about our health. Proper waste disposal and management can be done by applying the 3R – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reducing means lessening the amount of trash garbage produced. Reusing refers to using materials more than once while recycling means creating new material or product out of trash garbage. Environmental protection is one of the basic prerequisites for the overall development of any country in the world. As awareness of environmental protection is developed, human awareness is also developed about the need to preserve the environment by preventing adverse impacts on nature. Law, as a scientific discipline, plays a significant role in these endeavors. This proposal aims to implement a recycling system throughout the Georgia Tech Greek community to reduce waste. The Greek community produces a significant amount of recyclable waste like aluminum cans and plastic cups that are currently thrown directly in the trash. The project, called Greekcycle, will work with each Greek chapter to place recycling bins in houses and raise awareness of recycling. Recycling pickup locations will also be established around campus to make recycling more convenient. An award will encourage participation. The proposal outlines plans for funding, stakeholders engaged, implementation timeline, and ongoing monitoring to ensure project success.
The school launched a "Waste Management Flower Garden" program to address waste problems and teach values to students. Students collect plastic waste, design flower gardens, and learn plant names. The program transforms eyesores into decorative items, keeps the campus clean, and pools waste for future sale. It provides a creative outlet and teaches environmental stewardship with no budget through community participation.

iniciated by Rotaract Club Sofia Vitosha-Izgrev (D2482)
and Rotaract Club Thessaloniki Anatolia (D2484).
3. More than 25 clubs
from Bulgaria, Greece,
Romania, India and
Argentina became part

in or nearby the city, so that it makes the best
contribution for a greener future.

gets more popular and
attracts broader
audience.
6. We, the Rotaractors, believe that by giving a personal
example and by particular actions; we can inspire people to
care for the environmental issues and focus on the
sustainable development topic.
7. Our efforts lead to long-term results on the environment
that will ensure better quality of life for the future
generations.
8. Thank you for participating
in the second edition of the project!
