Duringtoday’srehearsal we alsoworkedonaccent,I initiallystruggledwiththisasmyAmerican accent neededalotof work.We learntsome techniquestohelpusimprove onouraccent which included watchingvideosof otherswithanAmericanaccent,thishelpedusaswe understoodhow we shouldbe performingthe accent. Notonlythatbut we alsolookedatspecificsoundswhichneed to be focusedonmore whenperforminganAmericanaccent. My strengthduringthisrehearsal wasportrayingmycharacterFrenchyas an overthe top American teen,Iwas able toportray Frenchyina friendlyandexcitedmanner. Iwill continueworkingonthis skill furthertoensure Iam able toportray my character effectivelythroughoutGrease. The improvementsIneedtomake are to workon my Americanaccentat home to ensure consistencywhenperforming,Iwill continuetopractice myAmericanaccentwhenperformingmy linesandalsopractice certainwordsthat I feel more uncomfortable with.
