I needed some pencils so that I can sketch my drawings. They were very
easy to get and I just bought them from the stationary section in the Tesco
supermarket near college. They cost around £2 for a pack of 5 so the cost is
relatively cheap.
I need pens for writing notes on my flat-plans etc. and any other notes I
need to make to help with my production. These I also acquired from a local
store reasonably cheaply.
The fine liners are very good for making the lines on my illustrations stand
out a lot more and can make it look much more professional. I bought my
two different fine liners from the college art shop. This is open from 10am2pm Mon-Thurs so is very convenient.
I need paper to plan flat plans and storyboards and to draw my illustrations
on. Paper is very easily accessible for free in college so It is easy to get and
freely available for me to use.
I need to use these to add colour to my illustrations. I will experiment to
decide whether I want to colour the illustrations in or if I want to add colour
on the computer.
I have computers I can use at college and I also have one at home, this
means they are easily accessible 7 days a week and I will be able to do work
on them at all times. I can use them to research and to gain inspiration from
other examples of art of graphic novels.
The software Photoshop is on all the classroom and library computers in
college. This means I have access to it while at college and can use it free of
charge. I will use it to digitally enhance my illustrations if I decide to do so.
Pencil Sharpener
Yes
I need a sharpener to sharpen y pencil to allow my drawings to look neat
and tidy. This I bought from the college art shop.
Eraser
Yes
I need an eraser to change any mistakes I make when drawing my
illustrations. This was very easy to get as I just took it from my house.
