II. Goals & Objectives.
Client wants:
· Looking to expand the building to the public in order to create a “neighborhood hub community.”
· Creation of cafe/studio gallery museum
· Looking for “studio providers” - they need rental income. Leasing space to these companies and to provide labor to their employees.
· **Maker Space Movement** - A health club model for the maker space movement area.
· Revenue model: based on “cheap and shiny” memberships; storage space; supplies; events to draw revenue and attention
Finance team goal:
To ensure the business will have a financial revenue model within the Makerspace, that is self-sustaining to grow the operations of the business within the business; as well as concise definite numbers (based on estimates) to draw in potential investors to help fund the expansion project in south boston.
Objectives for task:
- An investor pitch deck for Artists for Humanity to sell their services and ideas to potentials for a return in company exposure; media; and project collaboration.
· To increase revenue in the “Makerspace area” per square foot since currently revenues are at 50% for business from arts sold to partnering clients/businesses.
· *Roi analysis and earnings of project*
· Reduce costs for Makerspace
· Quarterly projections
· Realize ideas for funding and estimates based on benchmarks
· Discover present bottlenecks holding up revenue streams as well as future ones
· To create different revenue- streams for Makerspace membership based in accordance with different target markets/users
· To create a pricing model based on square footage; storage; and supplies that will feed demand and sustain cash flows.
· Creation of service pricing model - for classes for maker space along with tier pricing for consumers.
III. Co risk financial analysis
Risk Identification:
· Creation of new classes and services will deter image of Artists for Humanity as a non for profit organization brand image and value.
· “Time to market” delay - in funding can consequently result in a thirty three percent loss in revenue if right time and investors for ideas not found within ample time.
· Not enough value created in models for consumers to buy into idea of “MakerSpace community” and sharing of experience.
Risk assessment & mitigation:
· Emphasis on value creation for new classes and pricing - development of reasoning to support new numbers and figures - will create trust and investor confidence.
· Trial and beta testing for new membership and classes to be offered based on revenue per square foot.
· Analysis from outside perspective - based on “triple constraints.”
· Executing beta testing of new revenue models with a clear evaluation and control plan ...

Project update
Introduction: Following the award of the contract to supply backpacks with built in refrigerated pouch and radio module, I would like to start the process of developing the product for timely delivery to our client. The contract entails producing and supplying backpacks given a budget of $1,500,000. The time duration is for the contract is one and half year from the award date. The expected deliveries have been split into three dates with the first and the largest expected to be made in September 1, 2016 and the last on last day of the contract. Given the milestones, we need to do a project review at the client’s site to strategize on how to start the project.
Customer: U.S. Army, Ground Forces and Special Operations.
Initial program action items: The product design needs be brainstormed. We can interact with the client to agree on the desirable design of the project based on the project definitions specified above. More specifically we need to brainstorm on the preconditions of functional and operational requirements and design limitations. I would like to assess the current and future transport issues which we need to sort. We need to identify different alternatives before choosing the most viable alternative to use to transport the finished products to the client. We also need to assess the environmental issues relating to the production and transportation of the product. If need be we should get a permit and address any regulations relating to environmental issues. This is aimed at mitigating the risks of the product development. Finally, we need to start placing orders to suppliers to facilitate the development process.
Project Risks / Risk Mitigation strategies: The first risk is delayed accomplishment of the set milestones. This may be escalated by the number of employees of the contractor and the work involved in each product. The problem may be solved through increasing the number of employees even if it’s casual workers until the project is completed. The second risk is the financial risk whereby the increase in cost of labor may be out of the set budget. This may be mitigated through recruiting cheap labor for manual jobs. The third risk is the probability of failure to achieve the expected results by the senior management because of financial and time constraints. It can be mitigated through constant internal project monitoring and review. The fourth risk is environmental pollution which may be hazardous. It can be mitigated through proper planning for the disposal and elimination of hazardous waste and other by products from the production process. The fifth risk is the probability of delayed payments which may delay funds for other investment opportunities. This can be mitigated through financial derivatives like options and futures co.
As we have discussed in this series of case studies previously, tender writing is far more than being the cheapest price. Yes tender writing success does depend to a degree on price but the skilled tender writer will be able to develop a “sales” pitch which sets their tender apart from the competition and price will then become just one of many key platforms from which the organisation can launch a successful bid.

In the Adani-Hindenburg case, what is SEBI investigating.pptxAdani case
Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.

Improving profitability for small businessBen Wann
In this comprehensive presentation, we will explore strategies and practical tips for enhancing profitability in small businesses. Tailored to meet the unique challenges faced by small enterprises, this session covers various aspects that directly impact the bottom line. Attendees will learn how to optimize operational efficiency, manage expenses, and increase revenue through innovative marketing and customer engagement techniques.
3.0 Project 2_ Developing My Brand Identity Kit.pptxtanyjahb
A personal brand exploration presentation summarizes an individual's unique qualities and goals, covering strengths, values, passions, and target audience. It helps individuals understand what makes them stand out, their desired image, and how they aim to achieve it.
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.
4. In our series of grant writing case studies – this is the third installment. Again in
this article will showcase the skills of our grant writers and give readers tips on
how to improve their grant writing chances.
We were approached in this instance by a club in a rural area affected by
drought which was seeking funding to restump their community hall. The project
was going to cost $50000 and the club needed assistance in finding appropriate
funding programs which would fund a $50k project.
Grant Writing – Case Study 3
5. At Red Tape Busters we are very strategic in our approach to the grant writing
task. So initially we worked with the client on their project to identify if there was
any way of breaking the project up into smaller components in case there were no
$50k funding opportunities around given the higher the funding amount needed –
the less funding opportunities that exist.
In working with the client we identified that there is not much scope to restump
a hall in different stages given that the entire hall needed to be completely
restumped at the same time given the extra costs of splitting the project and
restumping part now and part later and also the fact that the hall was in fact
dangerous with the stumps in the condition they were in and essentially unusable
Grant Writing – Case Study 3
6. In pondering on the project our Grant Writer Melbourne identified the
possibility of splitting the project in two stages – the first stage being to dig the
holes for the new stumps and remove the old stumps and prepare the hall to await
the new stumps and the second stage of the project could encompass the purchase
of the new stumps and the erection of the new stumps under the hall – thus
completing the project.
As such we were able to split the project into two grant writing tasks – the first
stage needed a $15k funding grant and the second stage required $35k to
complete.
Grant Writing – Case Study 3
7. In order to identify what funding was currently available our Grant Writer
Melbourne undertook extensive research to identify current available funding
programs. Two prospects were available – one through the local Council which
related to community infrastructure projects with a maximum funding amount of
$20k, the second prospect was available through the Department of Sport and Rec
and given this was a sporting club this was an ideal program with a maximum of
$50k available.
We could have maybe applied for the entire $50k from the Department of Sport
and Rec however our view is that the closer your project is to the maximum amount
– the less chance you have of success. So we decided to pitch two different
submissions to the two different programs.
Grant Writing – Case Study 3
8. While this was slightly more costly to our client given we were now preparing
two submissions instead of one – we were convinced that the prospects of grant
writing success were substantially increased.
Our Grant Writer Melbourne prepared the two applications which were both
successful. The club was successful in receiving the full $50k all because our
grant writer was highly skilled and understood fully the strategies involved in
the grant writing process and in implementing a cost effective grant writing
approach.
