The “I” in RTI Research-Based Factors
In the research article, The “I” in RTI Research-Based Factors for Intensifying Instruction, Harlacher, Walker, and Sanford (2010) address the changes in the
2004 Individuals with Disabilities Improvement Act (IDEA), that widened the use of response to intervention (RTI). As a model for identifying students with learning disabilities, the legislative changes coincided with school wide reforms, which implemented research-based instruction and promoted the response for students who needed support (Harlacher, Walker, & Sanford, 2010). With a new way students’ difficulties are viewed, this called for new skills for educators in improving student outcomes. The purpose of their research is stated in the following question, “What research-based instructional factors can educators modify to intensify students’ instructional support? (Harlacher, Walker, & Sanford, 2010 p. 30).”
RTI: Background and Description
Response to Intervention (RTI) is a multi-tiered approach in providing services to students that match the students’ level of academic need to corresponding level of instruction (Harlacher, Walker, & Sanford, 2010). With the RTI model, schools create a range of levels in instructional support and teachers place students into these levels based off of screenings and progress monitoring data. Within the three tiers, all students receive Tier 1 with base core curriculum and in Tier 2, students who have mild skill deficits and need more instructional time each day. Tier 3 support, is the most intensive level of support. Students in Tier 3, receive instructional groups of three or four students. RTI is that all students receive research-based instruction that matches their need for support and continuously monitoring students' progress toward their goals.

Involving stakeholders
Stakeholders are parties with interest in assessment planning. They play a role in the formation, evaluation and implementation of an assessment plan. Stakeholders are either internal or external. Administrators, staff, faculty, students and institutional researchers are the internal stakeholders. The external stakeholders are disciplinary and professional standard bodies, employers and alumni, peer programs and colleges and faculty teaching more advanced courses. Involving stakeholders in assessment is important for organizational decision making (ReferenSuskie). The evidence from the assessment should be used by stakeholders to improve activities, programs or institution for which they are responsible and accountable for. In this case, an academic institution assesses its student in order to improve its academic performance.
The assessment collects data about the student’s background characteristics, educational experiences and student learning in order to determine the consistencies and inconsistencies in their activities or performance. The other stakeholders i.e. staff and disciplinary and professional bodies gather the data using qualitative and quantitative methods and later analyze and interpret the data based on the criterion of performance level set e.g. grammar or creativity of the student. They discuss and vote to determine the best value (Suskie). The external stakeholders are used to bring external information to inform discussions to help develop justifiable benchmarks. The results from the assessment plan are used in planning and implementation process.
Strategies used to ensure stakeholder involvement in the assessment process are as follows: to begin with, the process should give them a sense of ownership. For example, it gives students the means, motive and opportunity to take control of their own learning (Brans Kamp). Moreover, the process should be understandable, relevant and acceptable to the stakeholders. Most importantly the process should align itself to the culture, mission and vision of the institution which they strive to achieve. Furthermore, the assessment plan should recognize their different backgrounds, goals, perceptions and experiences and the influence in their interpretation and decision making. Therefore, the plan should advocate for a culture of openness, trust and commitment to self-examination among different stakeholders.
In conclusion, communication of the implementation plans is important. Communication (oral, written or group meetings) and different dissemination strategies are needed to accommodate different stakeholders. it is important to discuss and seek their reaction in order to deliberate actions to be taken to improve the performance of the academic institution. Stakeholder involvement determines the quality and effectiveness of an assessment and therefore should be involved in the process.

Implementation
In previous weeks, you learned how to conduct an effective training needs assessment and initial steps of designing training, especially designing outcome-oriented learning objectives that become the road map for the next phases of training. You read the Domtar case and how Raymond Royer, the CEO, took initiative to develop employees; how he focused on developing strategic direction and specific goals that focused on (a) return on investment and (b) customer service. You also learned about appropriate training methods selection in the design and development phases.
The delivery methods and implementation of training are critical for the success of training in terms of employees’ engagement and motivation to learn. It is important to understand individuals’ learning styles to decide what methods are appropriate for a particular group of learners. To be more effective, training should include multiple training methods (e.g. lectures, brain storming, group work, discussions, role play, case analysis, simulations and games) and activities to motivate learners who have different types of learning styles, preferences, learning goals and personal expectations. Learner engagement is the key to learning. There are various methods you can use to engage and motivate learners for better results, such as role play, discussion, on-the-job training, simulation, self-directed learning, business games, case studies, team work, behavior modeling, etc.
Styles of Learning
People have different styles of learning. These learning styles help them to acquire new information and knowledge. There are many different learning styles but for simplicity they can be broken down into four major categories.

Spirituality is an important aspect of holistic care for the elderly. Addressing spirituality allows social workers to better understand clients' experiences with illness, disability, and end of life. One effective spiritually based intervention is life reviews, which help elderly clients find meaning and purpose by reflecting on their lives. Research shows that incorporating clients' spiritual beliefs into interventions can improve well-being and quality of life for the aging population.
Most ear, nose, and throat conditions seen in outpatient settings are minor in nature. However, subtle symptoms can sometimes indicate more serious underlying issues that require prompt medical attention. Nurses must be able to differentiate between benign and potentially life-threatening conditions based on a patient's history and presenting symptoms. This involves considering potential differential diagnoses and ordering appropriate tests and exams to reach an accurate diagnosis. The case study assignment requires students to create a focused patient note for their assigned case that outlines the necessary history to collect, exams and tests to order, and includes a list of potential differential diagnoses with evidence-based justification.

This document discusses implementing a policy to improve discharge practices in emergency departments to reduce return visits. It proposes requiring all patients to have health insurance, which would help ensure quality care and reduce costs. The stakeholders in this policy include government officials, hospital managers, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Requiring insurance could help provide access to care, smooth hospital processes, and reduce readmission rates and healthcare costs overall.
Health Care Management System Discussion.pdfBrian712019
The document discusses the evolution of the US healthcare system towards managed care models beginning in the 1980s. Managed care aimed to control costs by managing care through tools like pre-authorization requirements and capitation payments to providers. This shifted care delivery towards integrated delivery networks and accountable care organizations which aim to improve coordination and quality. Hospitals now play a role in advancing continuous quality improvement and modernizing care delivery. Looking ahead, the literature suggests further transition towards value-based payment models will continue to shape the future of healthcare.
The document discusses several resources related to integrating Christian values and spirituality into health care. It provides links to videos, documents, and codes of ethics from Grand Canyon University for students to review. The document also includes sample discussion posts from students reflecting on how their worldviews and spiritual beliefs influence their approach to patient care. Key topics discussed include incorporating patient and family beliefs, navigating conflicts, and representing Christian values even in difficult situations.
Health Medical Policy making process.pdfBrian712019
Key stakeholders that have influenced health care policy since 1950 include hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and private health insurers. It is important to involve stakeholders in the policy making process because their interests and expertise can help shape effective policies and build support for reforms. The document provides instructions for students on formatting papers, citing sources, participating in discussions, and assignment deadlines and policies.
Healthy People 2020 identifies national health objectives and many states have adapted these objectives for their populations.

Spirituality is an important part of holistic care for the elderly. Addressing spirituality allows social workers to better understand issues like illness, disability, and end of life. One effective spiritually based intervention is life reviews, which help elderly clients find meaning and purpose by reflecting on their lives. Research shows that incorporating spirituality and life reviews into interventions can aid the elderly in coping with challenges. Social workers must consider clients' spiritual beliefs and traditions when providing holistic care.

The paper must also integrate nine essentials of master's level nursing including applying research to practice, using technologies, and demonstrating leadership.
Health informatics tools like geographic information systems can help public health organizations analyze spatially-referenced data and make informed decisions. During the bubonic plague, sharing information about the disease's geographic spread may have helped physicians discover risk factors and respond more effectively. Today, public health relies heavily on information systems to support decision-making, operations, planning, and more. However, effective leadership is also needed to strategically manage data and informatics in a way that benefits stakeholders.

AnalysisIdentifying individuals learning styles of all learners is necessary to good
performance in the health promotion sector. In most cases, educators assume this great
responsibility to determine how to handle best and teach learners, which has a long time
stagnated their (learners) educational performance and health promotion outcomes (Liew
et al., 2015). The purpose of this paper is to conduct a VARK analysis and discuss the overall
value of learning styles. Personal Learning Styles According to VARK QuestionnaireVARK
questionnaire has been one of the best ways of analyzing students’ preferred learning
strategies to improve their educational performance and service delivery in various sectors
they get an opportunity to work in after school. According to the VARK questionnaire, my
2. learning styles are Aural, Read/Write, and Kinesthetic. Aural learning style entails listening
to the teacher and engaging in discussions with people who have some knowledge or
interest in learning the same thing. Aural learning strategy requires attentiveness to the
sound of the one offering the lesson. Under the read/write learning strategy, notes, texts,
handouts are an excellent and reliable source of knowledge (Bhagat, Vyas, & Singh 2015).I
prefer having the notes because I can refer to them in the future if I am unable to reach out
to the teacher. When notes are preserved well, they can also be helpful for consultation in
discussion sessions. Finally, after answering the VARK questionnaire questions, the
kinesthetic style appeared to be one of my best learning styles. Engaging in practical
exercises creates a lasting impression in my brain. Learning through examples makes it easy
to understand something because you can learn the whole procedure of doing something
that is supposed to be done step by step (Bhagat, Vyas, & Singh 2015). It is tough to forget
what you have ever seen, unlike what you just read being explained in books without
practically doing it.Preferred Learning StrategiesMy preferred learning strategies are
Kinesthetic, aural, and read/write strategies. I mostly prefer the Kinesthetic approach
because I find it easy to learn through practical examples and case studies. Practical
examples boost my confidence in doing things and handling similar tasks if assigned by the
teacher. My second best learning strategy is aural, which involves listening and engaging in
focused group discussions. Through this, I learn what is required of me by the teacher and
improve my communication skills, which are essential in handling day-to-day life issues.
Finally, reading and writing notes as the teacher is teaching ensures I concentrate
throughout the whole class, which is very necessary for good performance in my academics.
Grand Canyon NRS 429V Week 1 AssignmentEffect on Educational Performance and
importance of identifying Learning Styles for Learners as an EducatorLearning styles are
essential to the educational performance of the learners. For example, some learners prefer
doing things practically because they can remember what they learn. Additionally, other
learners don’t love writing or reading notes. They would like practical examples or listen or
watch a video with visual and graphical presentations of what they should learn (Liew et al.,
2015). Through this, learning is made interesting, enhancing their educational performance
because they do what they love most. The first step of becoming a successful educator is
identifying the individual learning styles of your learners. Once the learning styles are
identified, the tutoring work becomes more comfortable, and the educator can subgroup the
learners where each group will consist of learners with similar preferred styles. For
example, when he wants to handle a particular topic, he will prepare notes and handouts,
audio and video presentations, and equipment that can be used to study the matter in
question practically. The educator will assign the group that loves read/write style a task
where they are supposed to explore the topic, discuss the key issues and write a summary
of what they learn. The second group will be given a video to listen to and finally answer
questions or summarize what they learn. The last group can be given the required
equipment to practically try doing what the educator needs from them and finally compile
and submit their findings. Through doing this, the learners will be able to get the concepts
better and easily because they will all be feeling part and parcel of the class sine they
participated in answering questions or writing summary and findings of the topic in
3. question hence giving the educator a smooth teaching session (Liew et al., 2015).Learning
Styles and Health PromotionHealth promotion outcomes will only be successful if the
different individuals’ learning styles are applied accordingly. Therefore, it is necessary to
understand the different learning styles that each individual possesses. This will enable the
educator to know the best approach to use when teaching various topics. Once the right
method is used, the learners will be able to get the concepts rightly and correctly deliver
their health services in the future.Forcing a wrong learning style on an individual may lead
to a change of behavior and attitude towards the teacher and the subject, which will finally
negatively affect the general performance. Therefore, identifying and utilizing various
individual learning styles is essential for learners’ performance and health promotion
outcomes (Mozaffari et al., 2020). Health promotion is a vast field hence making it easy for
the application of different learning styles. For example, health promotion topics require
reading and writing notes, watching and listening to the video and audio clips that show and
explaining how various disorders should be treated, and performing practical experiences
and observations.ConclusionLearning styles of all learners is necessary for good
performance in the health promotion sector. Therefore, educators need to identify the
learning styles that can be made uncomplicated by issuing the learners with the VARK
analysis questionnaire. This enables the educators to determine how their learners would
love to be taught and handled.References – Grand Canyon NRS 429V Week 1

strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so
indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly.
Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read
over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as
necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious
errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.Use a standard 10

with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over
the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.Likewise,
large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space
between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at
“padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not
fool your professor. The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch

Questions (DQ)Initial responses to the DQ should address all components of the questions
asked, include a minimum of one scholarly source, and be at least 250 words.Successful
responses are substantive (i.e., add something new to the discussion, engage others in the
discussion, well-developed idea) and include at least one scholarly source. One or two
sentence responses, simple statements of agreement or “good post,” and responses that are
off-topic will not count as substantive. Substantive responses should be at least 150 words.I
encourage you to incorporate the readings from the week (as applicable) into your
responses.Weekly ParticipationYour initial responses to the mandatory DQ do not count
toward participation and are graded separately. In addition to the DQ responses, you must
post at least one reply to peers (or me) on three separate days, for a total of three
replies.Participation posts do not require a scholarly source/citation (unless you cite
someone else’s work).Part of your weekly participation includes viewing the weekly
announcement and attesting to watching it in the comments. These announcements are
made to ensure you understand everything that is due during the week.APA Format and
Writing QualityFamiliarize yourself with APA format and practice using it correctly. It is
used for most writing assignments for your degree. Visit the Writing Center in the Student
Success Center, under the Resources tab in LoudCloud for APA paper templates, citation
examples, tips, etc. Points will be deducted for poor use of APA format or absence of APA
format (if required).Cite all sources of information! When in doubt, cite the source.
Paraphrasing also requires a citation.I highly recommend using the APA Publication Manual,
6th edition.Use of Direct QuotesI discourage overutilization of direct quotes in DQs and
assignments at the Masters’ level and deduct points accordingly. As Masters’ level students,
it is important that you be able to critically analyze and interpret information from journal
articles and other resources. Simply restating someone else’s words does not demonstrate
an understanding of the content or critical analysis of the content. It is best to paraphrase
content and cite your source.LopesWrite PolicyFor assignments that need to be submitted

please review it. This report will show you grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors
that can easily be fixed. Take the extra few minutes to review instead of getting counted off

paraphrase well enough? Is your paper made up of someone else’s thoughts more than your
own?Visit the Writing Center in the Student Success Center, under the Resources tab in
LoudCloud for tips on improving your paper and SI score.Late PolicyThe university’s policy
on late assignments is 10% penalty PER DAY LATE. This also applies to late DQ
