GCE Philosophy Grading System
The AS qualification will be graded on     Unit 1: PHIL1                  Unit 2: PHIL2                Unit 3: PHIL3                  Unit 4: PHIL4
a five point scale (A, B, C, D, E) and     (Maximum uniform mark=100)     (Maximum uniform mark=100)   (Maximum uniform mark=120)     (Maximum uniform mark=80)
the A Level qualification will be graded

Grade A* is awarded to candidates who
have gained at least 320 uniform marks
on the A Level as a whole and a total of
at least 180 uniform marks on the A2
units.
