7. Volleyball (more info)
Volleyball is a game where two teams volley a
ball non-stop in the air and over the net.
Volleyball can be played indoors or outdoors
if you want. It consists of two opposing
teams, each team consisting of six players on
a court. The objective, or to score a point is to
make the ball land on the opponent’s court.
8. Extra Info on Volleyball
The game has rules that should be
followed so the game progresses and you
can win. Each team can have three
touches to rally the ball over to the
opponent’s court, and the scoring point
used is the rally point system. To win a
game, a team must reach 25 points with a
minimum of two points ahead in 3 out of
5 sets. If the teams are tied by 24,
whoever reaches a two-point lead wins.

The playing area consists of the playing
court and free zone. A playing court is
rectangular in shape, 18 meters in length,
and 9 meters in width. The free zone
surrounds it, adding an extra 3 width. The
court is then divided in half, each half
having 6 players during the game.

pieces.
2. Attack Line- The line that makes each team’s court into
two spaces. The front line, or attack line, is 3 meters.
3. Back Zone- Where back row players are found. This is the
other 6 meters made by the attack line.
4. Service Zone- The end part of the court measuring 9
meters wide.
15. The Net and Post
There are two posts placed vertically
along the center line, and then the net is
tied. The net is 2.43 meters if men are
playing, and 2.24 for women. Two
antennas are also attached to the net, 9
meters apart and 80 cm in height.
16. The Ball
The volleyball ball is made out of a
bladder that is made of rubber and is
covered in flexible leather or synthetic
leather. Its shape is a sphere that is 20.7-
21.3 in diameter, weighs 260-280 grams,
and its circumference is 65-67
