1. The University’s 4G’s core values help every single students to be best academically with
good character. It also help them to keep their track on their academic performances and
show casing their extraordinary skills. I believe as a student of the University of Mindanao
taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English that I could confidently
demonstrate these core values by being dedicated and compassionate enough with good
heart. First, the “Galing”, I can demonstrate it by confidently doing my most best in any
performances or tasks and exceed academically. Specifically, communicating effectively
with poised and politeness. In addition, I can also demonstrate it by being competitive in
fulfilling my set goals that I may become a good leader in every field. Secondly, the
“Gawi”, I can demonstrate it by holding the torch high enough to light up the world.
Through being a role model to every learners, faculties, and head. I believe that our
behavior defines who we are. Therefore, I should keep my heads up to have a good
character and behave accordingly with camaraderie. Thirdly, the “Gawa”, I can
demonstrate it through helping my fellow students whatever department they belong. I
will act properly and appropriately in and outside the campus. I will lay my hands to
support and help those students who are not capable to speak confidently with the use of
English language. I will inspired and uplift my fellow students to have courage and
possess good character through my actions every day. Lastly, the “Gana”, I can
demonstrate it by being tenacious whatever failures and situation I may face. In times of
difficulties in my course, I will never give up instead I will keep going. Furthermore, I will
persistently achieve my dream with pleasant character and continuously act or behave
professionally seeing myself as an efficient and effective educator.
