Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin out of a friend's garage in California. It has grown to be the largest search engine in the world. Google's main source of revenue comes from selling advertisements that appear alongside search results. Advertisers bid on keywords, and pay Google each time someone clicks on their ad. Google now has over 10,000 employees and runs on hundreds of thousands of servers located around the world to handle over one billion searches per day. Its campus, known as Googleplex, located in Mountain View, California is designed to be a fun workplace with amenities like massages, games, meals and more to keep employees happy.
