INTRODUCTION
Google search console is a free tool by
Google that helps you understand how
Google interacts with your website.
I use this tool to fix the issues for my
website and make it user friendly
What Search Console Does
Ensure your site is accessible to Google search robots (aka bots) and visitors
Google recommends you take actions to improve your site's presence in Google search.
Recommendations about your HTML code.
Provides backlink information
Notifications on search penalties
Allwehaveinsearchconsole
Performance( metric shows about how your site performs in google
search result)
Click – metric shows the number of click to your site.
Impression – metric shows the number of times a website appears in search engine result.
CTR(Click-through rate) – The click count divided by the impression count.
Position – The average position in search result for the URL, query for the website in general
QUERIES – To check the
relevancy of queries search
by users and the content
that is served from your
site to answer that query
PAGES – To identify which
pages are performing well
in search result.
COUNTRIES – The country
where the search came
from.
DEVICES - To compare
your site’s performance on
different devices e.g
Desktop , Table or Mobile.
SEARCH APPEARANCE – It
allows website owners to
see how their site appears
in search result
DATES – The dates
dimension is useful to build
traffic prediction analysis
and identify where things
might have gone wrong.
“URL inspection” This tool for checking how Googlebot views a specific URL on the
website. It can help diagnose and resolve indexing issue
“SITEMAPS” A list of your website URLs .It acts as a
roadmap to tell search engine
what and where content is available it will increase
the retention of your audience.
