- Your cover photo can help make a great first impression when people visit your profile. So choose a big, beautiful image that captures your personality or a special moment, and really make your profile stand out.
- Help your friends find you on Google+ by adding some basic information to your profile -- where you've lived, worked, and gone to school.
- Google+ puts you in control with settings to manage who can interact with you and your posts, who can tag you in photos, when you'd like to receive notifications and more. Clear controls make it easy to manage your privacy.
- Search by name or find long-lost friends by filtering from your high school, college, or work to see people who were there with you. Connect your email account to find everyone from your address book who's already using Google+.
- Circles are an easy way to organize the people you know like in real life. They make it easy for you to share with just the right people, whether you’re sending an inside joke to friends or sharing that unbelievable photo with everyone. We give you a few circles to start out with, and you can create new circles for even more flexibility.
- On Google+ you can share as broadly or narrowly as you want. If you have something to say that the world needs to hear, choose “Public.” To keep your message to a specific group, choose one of your circles. You can even share with individuals -- just type in someone’s name or email address.
- Gather real-world groups of people like your basketball buddies, fellow classmates or your family. If you find yourself sharing regularly among the same group of people, communities are a fast and fun way to stay in touch more easily.
- No matter what you're into, there are people on Google+ who share your interests. Search for public communities around the topics you’re passionate about and join the conversation. You'll be learning new things and making friends in no time.
- Communities are even more fun with the right people. Use the ‘Invite’ button to bring specific friends into the conversation, or share the communities that you like publicly on Google+.
- There are lots of ways to share with your communities. Get welding tips from your DIY pals in a video call, share restaurant reviews with fellow foodies, or use Google+ Events to plan your next block party. You can share with communities from anywhere you find Google+ – on YouTube, Google Maps, or through the +1 button on sites around the web.
- Automatically save every photo you take with your phone or tablet. From there it’s easy to view, organize, and share them with the right people. Just turn on Auto Backup in the Google+ mobile app.
- Click “Upload photos” to create a new album. After you add photos a selection of top shots will appear in your Highlights view, so you can see the most memorable moments first.
- When you add new photos, Auto Enhance will make subtle adjustments (like removing red-eye and improving lighting) to help them look great. It’s easy to undo changes for individual photos, or turn off Auto Enhance for your entire account.
- Make awesome new versions of your pictures. Add a burst of five or more sequential photos to create a short animation. Or add four similar portraits to create a photobooth-style collage.
- Great photos deserve to be shared, and Google+ makes it easy to share with just the right people. You’re in control of who sees your photos -- choose individuals, entire circles, or email addresses. You can even get a link to send around or share on other sites.
