The document discusses various natural and man-made places that have been considered potential candidates for an 8th Wonder of the World. It notes that officially there are only seven wonders but some reasons an 8th is debated. New organizations have created new lists of wonders voted on by countries. Some natural place candidates mentioned include Milford Sound in New Zealand, the Natural Bridge in Virginia, and Burney Falls in California. Some man-made places discussed include the Brooklyn Bridge, Palm Islands in Dubai, and the International Space Station. The document also considers some famous people as potential 8th wonders, such as Elvis Presley. It concludes by somewhat jokingly proposing that the gap between rich and poor should be recognized as the 8th wonder
The document summarizes the plot of a proposed film called "Dam California". It involves a former Marine named Michael Rodriguez who returns home to find his town's water supply threatened by a corrupt politician and company called Poseidon. Poseidon is monopolizing the water through manipulating laws to protect an endangered fish. Michael teams up with a biologist to save the fish and take away Poseidon's power. They take matters into their own hands to destroy Poseidon's control of the water in a climactic battle at the top of a dam between Michael and Poseidon's henchman. Locations have been scouted and production is set to begin in February.
The document summarizes flooding events in southern Manitoba in 1826. It states that 1826 saw the most severe flooding since at least 1648, based on flood signatures. While an early fur trapper commented on unusually extensive flooding in 1776, there is no tree-ring evidence of such an event. The 1826 floods in the Assiniboine and Red Rivers coincided with severe frost damage in the central US, implying unusual spring weather across central North America.

Here is a look inside the book Canada's Stonehenge, the first 40 pages of a 312 page book by Gordon Freeman.
The discovery of a 5000-year-old Sun Temple and an ancient "time machine" - Stone Age calendar - in Canada led scientist Gordon Freeman to ground-breaking discoveries in Stonehenge. During fieldwork and research from 1986 to 2006, Freeman found striking similarities between the surface geometry of the two sites. These similarities push back the boundaries of written history and have far-reaching implications for North American and European history.

Asian elephants live in wet, forested areas near the equator in Southern Asia. They are herbivores that eat leaves, grass, and peanuts, consuming up to 700 pounds of food per day. Asian elephant herds are led by the oldest female, and mothers teach their calves how to use their trunks until they are 4-5 years old. Some interesting facts about Asian elephants include that they only have one finger, were once used in war, and can paint.
Orangutans live in the humid, tropical rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra, where tall trees up to 150 feet high provide habitat in the lower canopy. They eat a variety of fruits, insects, eggs, and small animals found in the trees using their hands and feet. Orangutans are solitary and mostly arboreal, sleeping high in the trees at night after making nests and moving quietly during the day to find food. Females give birth every 4-5 years and teach their young how to survive on their own.

They have large arms for swinging through trees and grasping food and water. Orangutans can live over 40 years.
Orangutans live in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra, spending most of their time in trees high above the forest floor. They eat a variety of fruits and occasionally small animals or insects. Females give birth to one baby every four years and raise them alone, moving their nests every night for protection from predators. Orangutans are currently endangered due to habitat loss and poaching.
Orangutans live in the humid, tropical rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra, specifically in the lower canopy areas of trees that are around 150 feet tall. They eat a variety of fruits, insects, eggs, and small animals using their hands and feet. Orangutans are solitary and spend their days traveling through the trees, napping for a few hours, building new nests each night in the trees, and teaching their young how to find food. Black rhinos live in the savannas and forests of southern and eastern Africa. They are herbivores that eat leaves, branches, twigs, and grass in the morning and evening. Black rhinos sleep during the day to avoid the heat. Females care for their young calves for 2-4 years, and give birth every 3 years after a 15 month pregnancy. Their horns are made of the same material as hair and fingernails, and poaching is a threat because people harvest the horns for traditional medicine.
Capybaras live in large herds in South America. They inhabit grasslands and areas near bodies of water. As herbivores, they eat various plants and grasses. Capybaras are mostly active at night to avoid heat and predators like jaguars. They use water to cool off, hide from danger, and protect their young. Capybaras live in family groups that can include up to 100 individuals led by a single male. Females give birth in the dry season to litters of up to 6 young.
Black rhinos live in the savannas and forests of South and East Africa. They eat leaves, twigs, branches, and will eat anything available to survive. Black rhinos are solitary except for mothers and calves. Mothers care for calves for 2-4 years before the calves leave. Females give birth every three years, and males leave before birth. Their horns can grow back if cut incorrectly.
Penguins live in colonies along rocky coastlines and shorelines in the southern oceans, with some species like the Humboldt penguin living along the coasts of Peru and Chile. Asian elephants live in wet, forested areas near the equator in Southern Asia. They survive in herds led by the oldest female, where mothers teach young calves how to use their trunks. Asian elephants eat over 700 pounds of leaves, grass, and other plants per day, and use their trunks, ears, and mud-rolling behaviors to stay cool and protect themselves and their families. Only around 3,500-5,000 Asian elephants remain in the wild.
Capybaras are large rodents found near bodies of water in South America, especially in Brazil, Colombia, and Peru. They eat grasses and plants from the water, consuming around 6-8 pounds per day. Capybaras are social animals that live in family groups led by a male, and come together with other groups. They are herbivores that are active at night and use purring noises and hiding in water to communicate and stay safe.
Capybaras live in South America's rainforests and grasslands, usually near bodies of water. As the largest rodents in the world, they eat 6-8 pounds of plants per day and live in herds of up to 100 individuals led by a male. Capybaras are active at night to avoid predators like foxes and jaguars, and use their habitat and herd structure to protect themselves and their young. They mate for life and communicate through sounds to warn of danger.
Orangutans live in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra, where they nest high in the trees to avoid predators on the forest floor like tigers. They feed primarily on fruits found in the trees, but also eat insects, bark, and nuts. Females remain with their young for a long time, teaching them to find food, build nests, and survive on their own. However, orangutans are currently endangered due to habitat loss and poaching.

1. Art of Europe
Dear Dr. Lensington:
This bunny is 20 feet long. It lays flat on
it’s back in Artesina Italy. It took five
years to make. It’s made out of wool and
stuffed with straw. It was made for fun
and to climb on. You were also able to sit
on it’s tummy.
Sincerely,
Dominick Rusk

2. Art of Southeast Asia
Dear Dr. Lensington:
In this prison they had a whole lot of
strict rules. Prisoners with small cells were
shackled to the concrete or floor, prisoners
with large cells were shackled to the bars.
They had to sleep on the floor with no mats,
blankets, or mosquito nets. They couldn’t talk
to each other. If they disobeyed they’re rules
they would be beaten severely. Sometimes
they were forced to drink human urine and
human feces. They would check to see if they
had anything to commit suicide with. Seven
people committed suicide. Out of 20,000
people only 12 survived. Those are some of
the prisoner’s in the picture.
