This document outlines a virtual tour with Google Earth that will stop at five famous US president monuments. At each stop, students will complete an educational assignment related to that monument, such as finding facts about the Washington Monument, underlining key details about Thomas Jefferson from an article, writing paragraphs about Abraham Lincoln after watching a video, creating a group summary and presentation about one of the presidents on Mount Rushmore, and making a video answering questions about imagined changes and goals as President of the United States at the White House.

For our first stop: Search on Google and find five facts about the Washington
Monument that catch your attention.

4. The Washington Monument, Washington DC.
For our second stop: With the provided article about Thomas Jefferson, find and
underline the following information: Date of Birth, University Attended, Dates of
Presidency, Vital Decision Made, and Date of Death.

5. Lincoln Memorial, Washington DC
Third Stop: After viewing the provided video on Abraham Lincoln, write at least
two paragraphs on the his life and legacy. Remember to have an introduction, body, and
conclusion.

6. Mount Rushmore, South Dakota
Welcome to the Fourth Stop: In groups, choose one of the four presidents on the
monument. Research and create a summary on the chosen president and present the
information to the class.

7. The White House, Washington DC
Fifth and Final Stop: Imagine yourself as the President of the United States. What
changes, if any, would you make? How would you help the citizens of the United States?
Video yourself answering the above questions.
