This project brief outlines a lesson on learning from Google's history in order to prepare for challenges during the semester. Students will play the role of a journalist researching what made Google successful, what caused failures or continued successes. They will create a 5-10 minute presentation covering lessons learned from Google's history, including its founding in 1996, early investors, market fit, 2010 crisis in China, stance of "don't be evil", current projects and future outlook. The purpose is to understand Google's path and be ready for the semester's challenges.
