Throughout the video we consistently see images that illustrate what we hear in the
lyrics for example, when she burns the pie and we see this image in sync.
The song is amplified by the extensive use of props throughout. Backup dancers
(barbershop quartet) are commonly seen which exaggerate the dance moves and
push Trainor to the front of the scene, also Trainor is viewed in a boat sailing on fake
waves where we then see her overly dramatize the act of vomiting.
There are also parts of the video where the lyrics do not match what’s going on in
the scene, this is evidence of contradiction and an example of this is provided when
Trainor says she works a 9-5 but she is actually at home doing stereotypical chores.
