2. Currently, we experience many changes in education, especially in relation to
educational activities where support from various actors is required for the
development of reading and writing processes. The resource that we present
below represents an alternative approach to attend to the literacy processes in the
elderly, in it there is an external companion that we will call a sponsor (counsellors,
caregivers, family member, eleventh grade students, school peers and other actors
that can sponsor a student) in the development of reading and writing processes.

3. We consider that the implementation of strategies with external
actors generates gains in terms of family education learning with
great contributions to its development, since we are immersed in a
community whose culture is to believe that only the school is
responsible for the education of its children. and the literacy
perspective of reading and writing practices at home and
experiences of parents or caregivers are essential to improve the
learning process. Suggested materials and resources for urgent
support of reading and writing processes are listed below:
