1. Persuasive Essay On Freedom Of Speech
Freedom of speech is the right to speak your beliefs without risk of punishment, guaranteed by the
First Amendment. This right raises some controversy though, on whether or not this right should be
limited due to the fact that some might take advantage of their freedom of speech and use it to
offend or insult a person or group. Freedom of speech should be protected to both advance and
defend out honor.
Our freedom of speech is an honor to have and it should not be taken for granted. Our society is
based off of our freedom to speak our beliefs, and sometimes –more often than not– our beliefs
contradict the beliefs of another. "Protecting this right [freedom of speech] respects the moral
dignity of individuals as reasonable beings with their own ideas, beliefs, and values." (Ruger, 5)
We cannot silence those that offend others with their beliefs, as they are expressing themselves
and have the right to be heard of. An environmentalist for example, believes that we should release
less carbon dioxide into the air, while a growing business might believe that the amount of
greenhouse gases is fine. Neither of them nor their beliefs are wrong, and we should not silence the
business because they think differently and we believe them to be wrong. Everyone is entitled to
their own opinions and to express them accordingly. "It's always easier to defend someone's right to
say something with which you agree. But in a free society, you also have a duty to defend speech
with which you

2. Persuasive Essay On Truck Drivers
Truck drivers are essential to this country's economy. Truck driving is one of the only ways that
this country has found to transport most of the goods we produce. There are many flaws in the
other ways we transport goods. As the demand for supply goes up the demand for truck drivers will
go up as well. Driving a tractor– trailer or a semi– trailer is a great career because of the job outlook,
the work environment, and the benefits and compensation.
Driving a truck can be a great way to make a living without a college degree. Truck driving is one to
the most rapid growing occupations. The Commercial Vehicle Training Association states that, "The
truck driver occupation is listed as an occupation with the most growth by the Department of Labor,
Bureau of Labor Statistics. (Commercial Vehicle Training Association)" This is very good for
people who are trying to get into this occupation. This means that anyone that passes all the
requirements is basically guaranteed a job. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration says,
"The Administration operates a program to improve safety performance and remove high–risk
carriers from the Nation's highways. (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration)" Programs like
this exist to help make the roads as safe as possible for everyone. Without these programs there
would be hundreds of careless and unsafe drivers on the road. In closing, many programs have been
setup to keep all other drivers and the company's materials safe.
Truck driving is very demanding because of the long periods spent away from home and the
constant driving for a long time. Also some drivers have to load and unload their cargo. The ATA
states that, "Working as a long–haul truck driver is a major lifestyle choice because these drivers
can be away from home for days or weeks at a time. They spend much of this time alone.
(American Trucking Association)" These truck driver's lives are not easy. They spend most of their
time on the road and alone and most of the time when they reach their destination, they have to
unload what is in the trailer. The NAPFTDS says that, "All graduates must be able to demonstrate
that they meet federal, state, and local standards as required for professional truck

3. Persuasive Essay
"Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be
graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will be choosing topics," announced Mr.
Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously
groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and
about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose
and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already
rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death
penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly
making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line.
I have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a
tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk.
Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. "What is your topic Cindy?" As usual in such
desperate times, my mind turned to food. "Waffles are better than pancakes." I figured that awaffle
was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. "Hmm. Excellent topic. I look forward
to your essay!" I survived to live yet another day. As I walked to lunch, I went around and asked
everyone the age old question: "Do you like

4. Persuasive Essay On Capital Punishment
Capital punishment is one of the most controversial topics in today's world. Many people believe
that it is morally wrong to have capital punishment as a sentence to a crime. People also do believe
that it is morally permissible for a severe crime. Capital punishment is also known as the death
penalty. It can be given as a sentence when somebody is convicted of an extremely violent crime.
The biggest issue that can be seen with this is that somebody could be innocent and sentenced with
the death penalty because of the nature of the crime that they have been accused of even if they
didn't commit it. I believe that there is a moral line between using the death penalty and using other
forms of punishment. Many people use the moral reasoning of an eye for an eye to justify capital
punishment. However this doesn't work because a murderer would be murdered, a robber would
be robbed, a thief would be stolen from, a drug dealer would be sold drugs and so on down the
line for the rest of the infinite number of possible offenses. This doesn't work because most of
them wouldn't care if it was done back to them because they think it morally acceptable to commit
these crimes and that they would just be having something that is morally acceptable done to them.
Many criminals don't have super serious offenses that deserve to have an eye for an eye. For
example, a drug dealer is probably addicted to drugs so to sell and make them use drugs would just
be feeding the, addiction

5. Persuasive Essay : Hope For A Better Future
Every person has hope for a better future. Even if we all have problems and obstacles we have to
face. We live in a world with hate, envy, and evil, but we also live in a world with endless love,
passion, and hope. In this hopeful world, our expectations have grown. We have anticipation about
the future that we are going to have, and in all honesty, many do not have hope that we will have a
better future, but that doesn't mean we can't try. We all aspire to be the best we can and I believe
that with the ambition we have, we can move forward and better our world and each other. Though
times currently seem to be awful, we are living in one of the best times ever. Technology is ruling
the world, and the way we choose to use it is deciding what will come next. Not only that, but we
are now living in a time where equality and acceptance are pretty much everywhere. I believe that in
the future, it's not going to matter what makes us different. Lastly, I just want to point out that we
are still building and shaping our world and lives. We are learning from our many mistakes and
fixing them. "America, land of the free and home of the brave..", but also home of the hopeful.
First and foremost, technology has been flourishing all around us. As a society we are coming up
with new inventions that are boosting our economy. In the future, we may even get the things we
have all wished for, such as flying cars or a teleportation device. Our imaginations are endless and
our hard work exceeds all. Technology, is like stated before, ruling the world and it's making
everyday events so much easier. Look to the future and together we can have a great life in our
country. With today's technology, we are doing things that could never happen before, such as
producing renewable energy, having electronics that we can use to have conversations over amazing
distances, and with the technology we have, we are solving so many medical and historical
problems. What a great time to be alive!
To continue, equality and acceptance are everywhere! We have become so accepting of people
over these last few years from women equality to people's sexual interest. If you were to ask
someone, they would probably say we've done something so

6. Persuasive Essay On The Importance Of Education
A high–quality and accessible education is important for all children. Through education, children
gain knowledge and skills that can lead to greater opportunities and upward mobility later in life.
Education has [Passive] long enabled people to go further than they ever thought possible; to
explore new ideas and to achieve new goals. Fostering knowledge and creativity enables children
to forge their own paths in life. As an educator, it is my greatest desire to guide children on their
educational journeys in a meaningful way. I hope to provide the children in my classroom an
accessible, inclusive and resource rich learning environment.

Inclusion
A classroom where everyone has access, is not necessarily a classroom where everyone feels
included. In order to create an inclusive environment, the teacher should assure that all students feel
included and understood. Diversity should be valued in the classroom and this starts with the
attitude of the teacher. When students come from a different backgrounds, the teacher should learn
about their cultures and integrate that knowledge into the learning environment. The teacher should
also strive to foster acceptance and value in classroom diversity among students.
Resources
Students shouldn't suffer because they are unable to afford basic resources needed for school. If a
parent is unable to provide the student with what they need, I would have available extra supplies
including, notebooks, binders, and pens on hand for student use. Additionally, I think it's important
to acknowledge that sometimes the resources students are lacking stretch beyond the walls of the
classroom. The problem might be as simple as not getting breakfast in the morning, or as
complicated as not having a place to live. Obviously, as teachers we probably have the ability to fix
the first one (free school breakfast application help), but not the later. We can, however, be
empathetic to a student's situation and treat them with understanding instead of frustration.

7. Persuasive Essay On How To Change The World
We all need to start today and change one thing that will make a difference in this world. We all
have a burning desire and drive to change the world or at least change ourselves. To make a
difference to our kids, our family, our community, and our world. If you think you can change the
world, you might. If you think you can't change the world, you won't.
United States is a country that has developed rather quickly in all areas. Over the years it has
gained power, fought for power, and we are still trying to stay on the cutting edge in all areas. We
are not afraid to make changes, break tradition and reform what doesn't work. It is important that
the United States is willing to make changes for themselves and their descendants. Changing is
never easy, but it is worth it. More and more these day's people become more easily offended
about change and what is happening. Millennials am I right? There is a famous saying that I
learned from my parents. They said, "If you want change in your life start today and make one
change." Change how you get dressed, your route to work, and try out a new gas station. Mix things
up with your morning routine. Get up an hour earlier, and do something productive with your time.
Switch where you park at home or at work. Change your deodorant, and get a new smell going. Ride
a bike somewhere, anywhere and see something different.

8. Persuasive Essay On Working Out
Since humans have been created millions of years ago, we were made to be active, go out hunt
and gather materials to survive. Now we just sit down on desks and type bunch of 0's and 1's.
Although, We are still built to be active and the main way to do that today is by working out and
burn our bodies at the gym. Working out is not just about getting six–pack abs or having huge biceps
and chest, Working out is about changing your lifestyle and make sure you live healthy long life
with no diseases that would make you hate yourself when you are older. Exercising is how you feel
young forever. We keep getting older and we are older than we were one–second ago, but that does
not mean, We cannot have control over our life and be young in heart and be healthy as we are
when we are young. Nowadays people just sit down, order everything online and try to not move as
much as possible, or that how I was until my freshman year at Arizona State University. I was not
active at all and had self–esteem issues and weighted 220 pounds, and my major is computer
science (CS) which mean, I get to sit down for hours typing codes and study for all different sorts
of hard classes and that increased my anxiety and stress. Then, I started working out and my life
changed, I lost 60 pounds, felt happy about myself and how I look, all the stress I had from
classes which anyone who takes calculus, computer classes know how hard they can be, it just
decreased and I could feel like everything is going to be fine at the end, just have to try harder and
that is it. In an article by dozen of PHD scientist in metabolism and fields related to that, they said,

9. Writing A Persuasive Essay
It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good
essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic; I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a
passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I
have the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with
an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I couldn't convince you that the long hours of
school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of
passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First
things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless...show more content...

the strongest possible argument to win over the reader. In a persuasive essay, it's the writer's job

bunch of How Tos. I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this
essay. I know what you're thinking, this is ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there

10. Persuasive Essay On Inclusive Education
Gretchen Walsh, a special education professional with a masters in education stated, "Inclusion is
important because through our diversity we certainly add to our creativity. If you don't have a
diverse classroom or a diverse world, you don't have the same creative levels and I think our
strength lies in our diversity" (What is inclusion?). Inclusion is the integration of students with
disabilities into a general education classroom receiving accommodations and services necessary for
their specific needs. Inclusion is beneficial for all students because diversity is critical and results in
better academic outcomes and social connections (Willis, J.). Inclusion varies by extent of assistance
needed and it provides students with disabilities the opportunity to learn beside a diverse range of
students. Overall, inclusive education is a current implementation in schools and has been proven to
positively impact students' lives.
Classes today are more diverse than ever and students with learning disabilities contribute to this. It
is important to recognize the great modification in the past two decades that has led to the growth of
inclusive education. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act commenced in 1997 and
requires that all public schools in America offer a free education to students with disabilities in the
least restrictive environment, and this federal law is responsible for the application of inclusive
education. It also requires the creation of individualized

Over many years, society has explored options into different varieties and forms of medicine to
help people with pain along with other treatment options not prescribed by mainstream medicine.
Some options of alternative medicine consist of acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic, herbal
medicine, meditation, massage, aromatherapy, hypnosis, and other medicines not prescribed by
mainstream medical care. People look towards these options after most other options are explored
and tried out over years to help cope with personal trauma or pain/injury. We will be looking at all
the various examples listed above in more significantly detail and give more detailed explanation of
what each individual technique can do for you. These methods can be used in a variety of
approaches to promote self–healing and growth after a significant traumatic event in one's life.
Acupuncture, Massage therapy, and meditation are all significant forms of alternative medicine
which will be the primary focus in this paper. Alternativemedicine can help people with significant
mental, physical and emotional issues. The benefits of alternative medicine are going to be explored
and introduced as a possible solution besides mainstream medicine.

12. Young students have a hard time being focused, nowadays with many things available to distract
them from being the best they can be. With social media, and electronics, and the internet along with
other things stealing all their attention, students can become out of touch with their communities,
their morals, and other things surrounding them. They can even forget about things that they
shouldn't, like their faith or morals for example. This is a problem that is keeping them from being
good citizens. Because of this, students should be required to do at least 20 hours of community
service per semester. This will help students become more responsible and help build character,
building a strong path for their education and future. Junior high and high school students should be
required to do community service. Students who participate in required community service are more
likely to graduate from college than those that do not (Volunteering/Community Service, n.d.). The
benefits of requiring community service are there, but not everyone is able to take advantage. It is
also important that community service is required and not voluntary, and that the schools make it
simple for the students to serve. The rate of students volunteering for community service has been
declining (Volunteering/Community Service, n.d.). Some students may have a hard time finding
opportunities to serve their community. If schools require students to serve the community and then

13. Persuasive Essay On The Internet
It can be considered as one of the most valuable types of technology. During the last several years
we have come to be more and more dependent on the Internet and in particular moving huge chunks
of data across large distances. The Internet allows people to communicate with each other across the
world within mere fractions of seconds with the help of E–mail and Messenger. The Internet also
allows for expressing opinions and obtaining up–to–date information from the world–wide–web. The
new software is being developed every day which uses the Internet as the carrier for long distance
voice calls and video conferencing like FaceTime and Skype, which would hold the key to the future
of our society. Whether someone is sending e–mail, posting on message boards, or reading the news
online, people are guaranteed the same freedom of self–expression that we enjoy offline. In other
countries, the mere act of accessing websites that criticize the government is an offense that can land
you in prison. Australia, similar to the United States, perceives and ensures a person's freedom of
expression. Although, they have an alternate view on what is appropriate on the Internet. Australia
has taken the position to confine adults privilege of the right to speak freely on the Internet, in order
to avoid children for getting material that is esteemed unsuitable for minors. However, it also averts
content considered "objectionable" to be uploaded on the internet, in this manner limiting the right

16. Persuasive Essay On Cyber Security
Over the past few years we have seen a massive surge in terrorist attacks carried out by Islamic
fundamentalists, which has forced the US government to take action in hopes of preventing future
attacks. Part of this action has come in the form of increased online surveillance on US citizens. At
first glance, the danger in this is not immediately apparent, but with the information leaked by
Edward Snowden it is becoming all too clear what kind of danger this represents. To be perfectly
clear, the purpose of this paper is not to delve into conspiracy theories about the government using
this surveillance to keeps its citizens in check like some Orwellian dystopian society. Rather, this is
simply to highlight how dangerous the methods used in this type of surveillance is to cyber security,
and how inefficient it is at stopping terrorism. In the past, terrorism is something that has always
had a presence in the world be live in, whether it be from racial/ethnic supremacists, radical
nationalists, religious zealots, or anarchists. Regardless of which group it was that claimed
responsibility for a heinous act of violence, people did not live in fear of being a victim of a
terrorist attack, because the attacks were either so infrequent or small in scale, it just registered as
an unfortunate tragedy. Now all of that has changed, if a person were to ask, "Where was it that
fifteen people were killed in that ISIS attack last year?" They would most likely be asked, "Which
one?" It

17. Persuasive Essay On Black Lives Matter
They Matter For decades black Americans have been treated as animals, looked at as if they are
monsters, and killed like bugs. Actions like Police brutality and racism is what caused Black
Lives Matter. The creation of the Black Lives Matter was a response by the black community to
give a voice to black Americans affected by the increase of wrongful deaths due to the law
enforcements and vigilantes across the country. This has been going on for so long that it seems
like we are stuck in the past. For years, even decades black Americans have had to live the struggle
of being equal. Even when things are going good and we think we finally have the same rights,
something happened to change that. It is time to shed a light on the real purpose of Black Lives
Matter and why they are important to today's society. Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal
Tometi created a movement centered towards black Americans which later turned into Black Live
Matter. Those three leaders came together in 2013 after the Trayvon Martin case that devastated the
black community. Black Live Matter, also known as BLM, became an organization that has a
mission to give power and a voice to violence inflicted on Black communities. So many black
injustices went unnoticed and ignored, but this group will not stand to let that happen again.

18. Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection
Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate
actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The feedback I received was that my essay
needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed,
I wanted to create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as
well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical thinking to help work through the
weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these
suggestions because they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive
essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do not believe my essay
would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not
being able to pin down my argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that
wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not necessarily have to be
persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the
experiences of the characters is the outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your
readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why you are arguing
your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument
was not central and a little vague. I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why
I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my essay and this
helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would
have reduced my challenges. This question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but
one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the issue was more
clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my
clarification because it is one of the main elements, that is needed when you are writing a
persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your readers

19. Persuasive Essay On Social Work
The social work profession and my life experiences have taught me that we all at one point of our
lives have been in the position of asking for help. For some people asking for help may be an
effortless task, but for others, asking for help may involve challenging cultural and family values.
This paper will focus on a period in my life when asking for help signified a huge personal
challenge, as I was taught growing up that I should keep my personal problems to myself and not
involve third parties. I moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic at age 16. I can
certainly state that this has been the most difficult time of my life thus far. Besides going through
physical, social and cultural changes, I was also facing the divorce of my parents. Although I had
been an "A" student in the Dominican Republic, I was doing very poorly in high school as a
result of these combined struggles and the fact that I was still learning the language. After
struggling for several months, I wrote a letter stating all of my problems and that I did not want
to be alive. A week after writing the letter, I decided to give it to my school counselor. I gave it to
her because I didn't want to aggravate or worry my mother and felt that she could do nothing to
help me. I believed the counselor was in a position to actually help me with my problems. At the
point that I decided to give my counselor the letter, I was feeling very anxious, overwhelmed and
stressed, and I did not know what else to do. I felt hopeless about the whole situation; I had been
forced to come to the United States, and when I arrived, I was forced to confront the reality of my
parents' divorce. I couldn't make decisions for myself because I was a minor, so the power was in
my parents' hands, and they weren't doing anything that seemed productive or helpful to me. In
going to my counselor with the letter, I was looking for someone who had the power to help me. In
the exchange with the counselor, she had all the power in our relationship. I felt somewhat
comfortable approaching her because we were both Hispanics and immigrants. The most significant
aspects of my positionality in this context, were my age and my education. My counselor was
educated and

20. Persuasive Essay On Saving Money
Saving money is an important part of your financial health. The more you save, the more you can
feel at ease whenever a rainy day might hit. You cannot predict the future but you can prepare for
it. If you prepare now, your future self will thank you. But how can you save if you have so many
bills and only one stream of income? Here are some tips you can use to rack up that account with a
single income.
Try to make a budget, it will be your blueprint for your finances. The first step for anyone wanting
to take control of their finances is to make a budget. A budget will allow you to understand where
your money is going and enable you to adjust your spending by designating how much you can
afford. Creating a budget is a good idea for everyone, but especially for individuals with limited
income. Write down your budget, with specific categories of spending, and stick to it. Start slowly
by using a percentage on how much you will save versus spend. A plan doesn't work unless you
work the plan.
Do not live a life that you cannot handle, spend within your means. Be honest with yourself, if you
can't afford something, don't buy it! Affordability is much more than the amount of money in your
bank account, it also is how long it will take for the money you spent to be back in your account.
Think of your finances as a long term process, not a short term fix. This is also why you should limit

21. Persuasive Essay On Climate Change
Climate Change
Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The
negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which
will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help;
people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate
change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to
several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change
comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the
reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth.
Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years.
Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much
sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets
affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When
that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food
production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada).
Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and
other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace
International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to
different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1).
These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the
problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and
it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has
grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the
food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun
shining towards me.
