The Student Movement for Real Change (SMRC) took action to improve Gogoraruhe Primary School in Kenya. They provided much-needed school supplies like chalk, notebooks, pens and paper for 300 pupils after finding the school only had a box of supplies. SMRC then worked with the community to build a new school, providing unskilled labor, and completed construction of a facility with classrooms, latrines, and a rainwater catchment system to replace learning under a tree with no materials.
