tion system control philosophy with regard to Wyeth standards and client specific requirements for the new

and change control owner. S88 recipe owner and developer. Led the team of Zenith control system engineers
providing them with technical guidance and a structured framework to efficiently design, configure and test
the system. This was the largest in-house project undertaken by Zenith at that time.

Member of the OSP3 DCS upgrade team with responsibility for the design, configuration and migration of
the OSP3 filters and dryers from the Provox DCS to the replacement DeltaV DCS.
Wyeth Biopharma, Grange Castle, Dublin: Dec 02- Apr 05
Wyeth ICV Lead Automation Engineer - Drug Substance Purification. Responsible for reviewing & approv-
ing the purification cell design specifications during the multi discipline design phase of the project in Bos-
ton. Led the Wyeth team during development of purification phase logic at the Emerson site in St Louis. Led
a team of 20 DeltaV engineers during the commissioning and validation of the purification process cell in
Dublin. Reviewed and approved the validation test protocols for the purification cell. Responsible for purifi-
cation cell automation change management by presenting change proposals to site change control committee.
Wyeth’s automation representative for the design, configuration and FAT of a UFDF skid for the capacity
expansion of the purification suite. The project was implemented by ProsCon in Cork.

Sole Zenith control system engineer during the course of Mencevax process start up and validation batches.
This work consisted of implementing software changes on the DeltaV DCS during the course of validation
batches in consultation with the GSK process owners.

GlaxoSmithKline Singapore SR1 solvent recovery. Developed a vertical slice for the GSK Singapore solvent
recovery project this included developing a control module driven batch system.

Saudi Fal, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia: Mar 01 – Sep 01
Lead control systems engineer on Saudi Fal Aramco Abqaiq waste water treatment project. Implemented
using DeltaV fieldbus I/O subsystem and PDI interface to Provox DCS. Responsible for control system panel
design and fabrication. Responsible for HMI design and control module development for Rotork motor oper-
ated valves and water for injection pumps. Developed factory acceptance test protocol which included sample
fieldbus segment staging. This was Saudi Aramco first DeltaV and fileldbus project.
GlaxoSmithKline, Cork: Sep 2000 - Mar 01
Control systems engineer on the GSK thermal oxidiser and waste segregation project. Worked with the Ca-
loric commissioning engineer during start up and heat up of the replacement incinerator and steam boiler.
This work mainly consisted of implementing software changes on the DeltaV DCS.
Control systems engineer on the central milling facility. Worked with the GSK project manager to bring the
DCS system into production.
