5. Caesar had been given the title of Dictator for life by the Senate. He had been extremely popular with the people of Rome and had conquered enormous new provinces for the empire. However, some senators hated Caesar – he was too much like the kings who had once ruled Rome. He had too much power . He had to die.

6. Now he is dead, but how will he be remembered? As a god among mortals? Or as a tyrant ?
