responsibilities as believers’, Paul speaks on “Realise your position
in Christ” (Ephesians 2:1-10).

Hooker leads. Pastor Paul John speaks on ‘Lessons from the church
of Smyrna’ (Revelation 2:8-11).

Thank you to everyone that gave a donation for the secondhand books
last Sunday. £35.00 was raised and has been given to
Cornerstone. Thanks to all who helped to make the Harvest
Supper a special and successful evening, £550 was raised.
Cornerstone are currently taking bookings for Christmas
lunches. Please see the notice board table at the back of the
church for menu details and available dates.
NEXT SUNDAY
10:30 am: Barbie Margetts leads. Continuing the series from Ephesians
entitled ’Our riches and responsibilities as believers’, Ian Reynolds
speaks on 'The mystery of God's grace' (Ephesians 3:1-13). Includes
communion. Youth Group meet.

Sunday 18th
October will be ‘Shoebox Sunday’. The morning
service will include a focus on ‘Link to Hope’ and the Shoebox
Appeal, and there will be the opportunity to join together for
lunch before helping to pack shoeboxes for the poor and
vulnerable in Eastern Europe. Please bring your own packed
lunch, drinks will be provided.
There is a Church Members’ meeting at 8pm on Thursday
15th
October at Old Mill Hall (Dixon Suite).
On Saturday 10th
October there will be a ‘Open House/Bring
& Buy/Coffee Morning at John and Margaret’s (1 Sycamore
Walk) from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Proceeds will go to help buy
items for shoeboxes.
