Editor's Notes

  • #2 Hi, I’m Andrew and I’m and xapi-aholic Consultant with Watershed One of the authors of the xAPI specification
  • #3 What we at Watershed are doing to make it easier to get started.
  • #4 Big data has a massive impact on more than half of organizations. And though 95% of L&D practitioners would like to use data (learning analytics) to measure impact and improve their programs, there are too many competing priorities that take up their time. And according to the survey, those who do want to get started don't know how.
  • #14 We’re launching Essentials this week because we don’t want cost to be a barrier to getting started. We’re giving away 3 months of access to Essentials to all xAPI camp attendees and the ongoing cost is only $400 per month. Essentials includes a collection of basic high level reports each of which you can drill into to explore more details. There’s no configuration required; we’ve pre-configured reports we know will be useful based on the most popular reports we’ve configured for clients in the past. And watch out for our free LRS only tier coming soon!
  • #15 So how can you get started? Read case studies and attend xAPI sessions this week at devlearn. Get inspired. Use of the shelf tools like those you try at the workshop and play with during xAPIgo Get started with your free Essentials account for 3 months.
  • #16 Come to the workshop! Bring your laptop!
