2. straightedge
An object used to draw a
straight line, or to check if a line
is straight. It does NOT have to
be a ruler, just an edge that is
perfectly straight.

4. Compass
A geometry tool used to draw arcs and circles.

5. You can use a compass to determine which
segment is longer, AB or CD.

6. In Geometry, you will draw figures using only a compass and a
straightedge. These drawings are called CONSTRUCTIONS. You
do not use any standard measurements when doing a
construction.
