Construction of an isoceles triangle of the same
area of ∆ABC, AB = 4 cm, ∠B = 60◦,
AC = 6 cm.
• Draw ∆ABC
• Draw EF || AB through C using a set square
and scale.
• Draw perpendicular from A to EF and B to EF.
Name the intersecting points, G & H
respectively.
Thus we got a rectangle ABHG.
∴ GH = 4 cm
• Take the mid point of GH and name it as I
• Join A and I, then B and I
∴ ∆ ABI is the required triangle
