a lot of manual labour due to the economic production. It is believed that the workers
would sing whilst working which would boost the morale of the workers and also
helped make the job go quicker. It also kept rhythm during pushing and pulling work.

music was seen as art. Folk music is also very similar compared to the pop genre. It is
said that pop is virtually the same as pop however pop has got more money behind it
so it is thought to be a more cleaned up version of folk music. The fact that it is folk
and indie pop gives it that melodic rhythm that fits with the theme of the song as it is a
sad song and he feels down due to the relationship. The effect this has on the song
would be that it creates the sense that it is unique as folk music and indie pop
together rarely comes into the public eye for its popularity so it seems like a fresh new
