In this research I am going be
finding out more about the
thriller genre. I will look at
different aspects such as
narrative, characters, settings,
themes, use if sound and
editing. This will help me
when creating my own
opening sequence by looking
at typical characteristics of the
thriller genre.

4. Conclusion
After completing this research I have found
out many things to do with the thriller genre.
For example, the typical setting for a thriller
would be set in the city like in the film ‘The
Dark Knight Rises’. This has helped me by
looking at different ideas on what to add into
my opening sequence when planning to make
it conventional of a thriller. When creating my
own production I could think about different
character types, for example me and my group
are thinking of adding a stalker into our
opening production to make it conventional of
a thriller. I could think about using different
editing in order to make my opening sequence
conventional of a thriller by using low key
lighting and lots of close up shots.
