1) Students must study the layout, format, design and content of both print and online music publications.
2) It's important to identify how web-based publications relate to and differ from print-based ones in terms of codes and conventions across front covers/home pages and the full range of content.
3) When researching a specific music genre, students should consider how the chosen print and online publications approach design, content, mode of address, and underlying ideology as it relates to that genre.

This document summarizes research on the synthesis and reactivity of group 4 metal complexes containing symmetric amidinate ligands. Various amidinate ligands were prepared by modifying substituents on the nitrogen atoms to tune steric properties. Titanium and hafnium amidinate dimethylamido and chloride complexes were synthesized and their solid-state and solution structures were studied. These complexes were tested as catalysts for the polymerization of propylene and ethylene after activation with MAO. The activity of the catalyst and properties of the polymers produced depended on the substituents of the amidine ligands. Further experiments provided insights into the mechanism of ethylene polymerization, identifying catalytic species using ESR, C60 radical trapping
This document summarizes a study on new titanium bis(amidinate) complexes containing electron-donating pendant arms that are used as catalysts for the stereospecific polymerization of propylene. The complexes were synthesized with different pendant arms including pyridine, dimethylamine, and furyl groups. When activated with methylalumoxane (MAO) or other cocatalysts, the complexes produced mixtures of isotactic and atactic polypropylene. The stereoregularity and yield of the polymers depended on the pendant arm and cocatalyst used. Unexpectedly, the isotactic polymers formed via a chain-end control mechanism rather than the typical insertion mechanism.

3. 2
Sub-Genres
However, each genre of music can then be split up again into sub-genres to be more specific
about the style of music. There are hundreds of sub-genres to choose from and so it can be
difficult to place a piece of music into just one sub-genre. This is why most pieces of music
have multiple sub-genres that apply to them.
For Example:
🎶
Electro Pop
Indie Pop
Pop Punk
Pop Rock
Britpop
Synth Pop

Audience
Pop Rock
Pop music is typically targeted towards a
female demographic. Younger people in
their early teens to early twenties are more
likely to be active listeners of pop music
than the older population. Pop music is the
most popular genre of music and so
reaches a bigger audience than any other
genre. This means that it probably has
more diversity within its audience.
Traditionally pop music has been most
popular in the Western world, however as
the genre continues to grow, other places
such as Korea have created their own sub-
genre called K-Pop.
Rock music is typically targeted towards a
male demographic. Both the younger
population and older population are likely
to listen to rock music. People in their late
teens to late twenties might typically enjoy
the heavy metal, emo and punk rock sub-
genres. Whereas an older population might
typically enjoy the classic rock, roots rock
and glam rock sub-genres because this is
the music that was popular when they were
growing up.

Audience
Country Jazz
Country music is a genre typically enjoyed
by both genders equally. Middle aged
people in their 30s, 40s and 50s are most
likely to listen to this genre of music.
Country music is significantly more popular
in the United States where 38% of
American adults are fans of country music.
This is no surprise as the genre originates
from the southern states of the US such as
North Carolina and Tennessee. These
types of people are likely to be
traditionalists who believe in the American
Dream which many country songs
reference to.
Jazz music is a less mainstream genre and
so doesn’t reach a very large audience. It
was most popular in America during the
1920s before the Great Depression. Jazz
can appeal to a demographic of both
genders. It is typically enjoyed by the older
generation of middle aged people and
pensioners. Young people don’t tend to be
fans of jazz because there aren’t many
modern jazz artists out there.
