Genre is very important to the film producers and the
audience.
It is what really makes a story line clear and grasps the
audiences attention to watch it.
Genre gives you an insight into the director and what he is
trying to get across to the audience when producing a
film.
Genres have typical features and focus on specific
audience types.
It is categorizing a film, eg rom com- you look for typical
characters, all about love, costume/props.
Its all about how genres evolve, how it attracts the
audience and most of all if it involves the key things to
