Fundraising

 October 15th after the meeting
 Bring a friend for an extra point
 Save your receipts to get a fundraising point!
 MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM YOU’RE WITH NSCS!!!!!
 There is a different fundraiser this day for another group
 This event will count as a fundraiser and a social if you go after the
meeting
o T-Shirts will be available soon!!!
o The Pop Can Drive went well!
 We raised $100+ for our chapter!
Programming
o Survey for speakers we’d like to see attend out meeting(s)

 $2.00 donation is reccommended
 All donations go to Circle K here on campus

o Take photos at any NSCS event (can be all from one event, or from multiple
events) and post them onto the NSCS CMU Facebook page!
o For every 10 photos you post, you will earn 1 extra point towards active
membership!

o The next general meeting will be next Tuesday, October 15th at 7:00 p.m. in
Pearce 225.

Scholarships

o First Generation Scholar Award
 NSCS will award (5) $1,000 scholarships to assist First Generation college
students in their journey to a degree.
o Merit Award
 Each year NSCS awards $1,000 scholarships to thirty outstanding and
deserving new members across the country to help defray the cost of
tuition expenses.
o The Amy Shopkorn Student Affairs Award
 Amy Shopkorn is a former NSCS employee. Two $1,000 awards are
granted to students who have created a positive impact on their campus
o Due to our Gold Membership Star Status from last year, our chapter is eligible to
grant one of our members with a $250 scholarship from the national office! Here's
what you need to do:
 1. Type a 300 word, or fewer essays on why you feel you exemplify the
three pillars of NSCS within our chapter.
 2. Email me your essay before October 8th (last day to send it in is the
7th) at clark3ns@cmich.edu.
